L'atmosfera è tranquilla e senza pretese — un autentico negozio di quartiere, non un punto vendita turistico — dove residenti e visitatori fanno la spesa allo stesso ritmo rilassato. Il personale è abituato ad assistere gli ospiti anche senza una lingua in comune.

Aperto tutto l'anno; particolarmente utile in estate quando si vuole fare scorta prima di raggiungere le spiagge a nord.
Come arrivare
Vareia si trova a circa 4 km a nord del centro di Mitilene, una decina di minuti d'auto. Il supermercato è situato nel villaggio, vicino al Museo Theophilos.

If you're heading from the island's capital towards the airport, right at the foot of the Hotel Heliotrope****, about halfway there (7 minutes), you'll find a large grocery store that sells everything. From coffee and morning snacks to cigarettes, fruit, and just about anything you can imagine, all at extremely reasonable prices. Its convenient location adds to the already great convenience, especially since it's open until 11 pm. The service is always very warm and efficient. It's perfect for heading to the beach of "2i Kantina," just 5 minutes away, which I've already posted about. In fact, it's always packed, and the locals know it; a good sign 😉
