For several years now I have had the undivided care of the medical and nursing staff of the Mytilene Hospital. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. However, I am very sorry that from now on, due to the decision taken by the authorities to cease the 24-hour operation of the center, I will be deprived of this care to a very great extent. A PITY.

We are extremely grateful for the care that my wife and I have received for several years from the medical and nursing staff of the Mytilene Hospital. Humane care and impeccable professionalism from everyone. The cessation of its 24-hour operation saddens us beyond belief.

Very bad service, I went with a terrible toothache and the dentist Nikolaos Katsamatsas during his shift and while on duty at a public structure in the health center, where they also accept emergencies, refused to accept me. While the security guard initially said that the doctor accepts emergencies in between, I waited a long time and then he came back and told me that he would not accept me after all! I demanded that he at least see it to tell me what to do, to give me some direction, but again the same doctor came, refused and said: I am not obliged to see you without an appointment! While my case was urgent!

Very poor service, arrogant doctors, staff who pretend to be doctors, and inappropriate behavior, to name a few.

Unacceptable. On 6/8/19 I waited 1 and a half hours for a doctor to write a referral for an X-ray, not for an examination just to put a signature and after arguing with the director I went immediately for an X-ray. The next day on 7/8/19 and while the orthopedist (Messiakaris Konstantinos) was on call and was supposed to be at the office at 5:15 PM when I arrived he was not here. When I asked where the doctor was a nurse told me he would come at 6:00 PM. When I even pointed out to her that the doctor should have been here she told me to complain to the management the next day. Shame is a word that does not exist in their vocabulary.

The doctors are doing their best with the meager medical equipment available. The nursing staff is also very helpful despite the huge number of cases they serve every day.

Everyone is kind and helpful. Especially the pathologist Ms. Koumba who has been attending to me for about a year, I have no words. A big thumbs up and an equally big thank you!!
