Το «Once upon a Sweet» είναι ένα γοητευτικό ζαχαροπλαστείο και καφέ κοντά στο ήσυχο χωριό Αλυφάδα, χωμένο στο πιο ήρεμο και λιγότερο τουριστικό εσωτερικό της Λέσβου. Το όνομά του μόνο του δίνει τον τόνο: εδώ ο χρόνος επιβραδύνεται και οι απλές χαρές παίρνουν την πρώτη θέση. Οι επισκέπτες έρχονται για χειροποίητα γλυκά, αρτοσκευάσματα και επιδόρπια που αντλούν έμπνευση από τις πλούσιες ζαχαροπλαστικές παραδόσεις του Αιγαίου, όπου τοπικά υλικά όπως το μέλι, οι ξηροί καρποί και τα εποχιακά φρούτα πρωταγωνιστούν πάντοτε στο τοπικό τραπέζι.
Η στάση εδώ έχει να κάνει εξίσου με την ατμόσφαιρα όσο και με το φαγητό. Μακριά από τα πολυσύχναστα παραλιακά θέρετρα, η περιοχή γύρω από την Αλυφάδα προσφέρει μια πιο αυθεντική ματιά στην καθημερινή ζωή του νησιού, και ένα καφέ σαν αυτό γίνεται φυσικό σημείο συνάντησης για ντόπιους και περίεργους ταξιδιώτες. Είτε περνάτε από εδώ κατά τη διάρκεια μιας διαδρομής στο νησί είτε κάνετε μια σκόπιμη παράκαμψη, το «Once upon a Sweet» σας προσφέρει μια γνήσια ανάπαυλα μέσα στη μέρα — ένα μέρος για να καθίσετε με κάτι νόστιμο και να παρακολουθήσετε τον αργό, ανέμελο ρυθμό της αγροτικής Λέσβου να ξεδιπλώνεται γύρω σας.

Ένα μικρό αρτισανικό ζαχαροπλαστείο με βιτρίνα γεμάτη χειροποίητα γλυκά, μελωμένες λιχουδιές και εποχιακά γλυκά κουταλιού από τοπικά φρούτα. Η ατμόσφαιρα είναι ζεστή και ανεπιτήδευτη — οι ντόπιοι καθυστερούν με τον καφέ τους και οι επισκέπτες σταματούν για κάτι νόστιμο στο δρόμο τους.

Ανοιχτό όλο το χρόνο· η άνοιξη και το φθινόπωρο προσφέρουν πιο ήσυχη και χαλαρή ατμόσφαιρα.

We love this patisserie. The staff are so nice and warm hearted. Its traditional biscuits are yummy. We stopped by twice and bought many things and all are so good. We strongly recommend you this place.

Wonderful sweets, everything we have tried so far is one and the same. Always fresh, good ingredients and not overly sweet taste, which makes all the sweets lighter. Also the prices are normal and the portions are just right. My favorite is the tiramisu!
