Το Παλούκος είναι ένα ελληνικό εστιατόριο που βρίσκεται κοντά στο χωριό Ταβάρι, στο εσωτερικό της Λέσβου — μια περιοχή γνωστή για τους ελαιώνες της, την παραδοσιακή πέτρινη αρχιτεκτονική και τον ήρεμο ρυθμό της νησιώτικης ζωής. Ως τοπικό εστιατόριο μακριά από τα πολυσύχναστα παράκτια τουριστικά μονοπάτια, προσφέρει στους επισκέπτες μια αυθεντική γεύση της λεσβιακής κουζίνας, βαθιά ριζωμένης στη μακραίωνη γαστρονομική παράδοση του νησιού.

Το νησί είναι ιδιαίτερα φημισμένο για την παραγωγή ούζου και το εξαιρετικό του ελαιόλαδο — δύο στοιχεία που κατέχουν περίοπτη θέση στη γαστρονομική εμπειρία εστιατορίων όπως το Παλούκος.

Η κουζίνα ακολουθεί την παράδοση της λεσβιακής ταβέρνας: αργομαγειρεμένα κρεάτα, φρέσκα εποχιακά λαχανικά και ντόπιο ελαιόλαδο που μοσχοβολά. Η ησυχία του χωριού Ταβάρι δίνει στο γεύμα τον ρυθμό του — αργό, ζεστό και χωρίς βιασύνη.
Καλύτερη εποχή
Η άνοιξη και το πρώτο φθινόπωρο είναι ιδανικά: ο καιρός είναι ήπιος και ο τόπος δεν έχει πολύ κόσμο.
Πώς θα φτάσετε
Από τη Μυτιλήνη ακολουθείτε τη δυτική κατεύθυνση προς το εσωτερικό του νησιού· το Ταβάρι απέχει περίπου μία ώρα με το αυτοκίνητο, μέσα από ελαιώνες και ορεινά χωριά.

Amazing food and traditional Greek atmosphere (by the sea). We had scorpina (grilled fish) which was amazing. From the appetizers it’s a must to try the fried aubergines, skoumpri, lakerda, koukia and chorta. Everything was delicious. If you want to have lunch there on a summer weekend, you should better call and make a reservation otherwise be willing to wait as this place is very popular among the locals and during the summer.

Very attentive waiter, fullfilled our wish to sit closer to the water and moved our table without hesitation. Also explained the dishes to us in a very patient way. The food was delicious, the fish excellent. Nice and calm atmosphere in this traditional fishing village. Very recommended! And most polite service I've seen on this island so far :)

The food was fresh and delicious, service was friendly and fast. We had grilled sardines (fresh and perfectly grilled), fava, fried calamari, Greek salad, lakerda, zucchini flowers, crab salad, all very delicious, 2 bottles of barbayanni ouzo and paid 60 euros. The portions were quite big. Real value for the money and one of the best Greek food we’ve had on this trip. There’s Greek music playing on the background and the volume is at a level which doesn’t disturb you but creates a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend it!

Best seafood we had in Lesvos. I recommend the red mullet. Everything was fresh and service was nice. Very peaceful and quiet restaurant.

We tried this restaurant after so many positive reviews, however our experience was below average in compare to other restaurants we tried on the island. We ordered, zaziki, greek salat, fried calamari, fried shrimps and fried barbunia. Barbunia was above avarage. The other dishes were for us not so tasty. I have to say that you shall not higher your expectations depending on the high points restaurant has on google maps.

Don’t miss the chance to dine at this magnificent Greek tavern! Homemade bread and pastry (see photo), fresh fish, local cheese, fantastic view, welcoming owner and staff, reasonable prices. 10/10
