Efes Leathers è un negozio di pelletteria situato a Molyvos, uno dei borghi medievali più suggestivi e ricchi di storia di Lesbo, arroccato sotto un castello bizantino sulla costa settentrionale dell'isola. Il negozio offre una selezione curata di prodotti in pelle, dalle borse alle cinture, dai portafogli agli accessori, che attrae i visitatori che apprezzano la qualità artigianale e i manufatti fatti a mano. Il nome Efes — il termine turco per Efeso — allude alle profonde correnti culturali che per secoli hanno plasmato questa parte dell'Egeo.

Il negozio è incastonato nei vicoli acciottolati di Molyvos, dove il profumo della pelle conciata si fonde con l'aria salmastra che sale dal porto. Borse, cinture e portafogli hanno linee classiche e una solidità che va ben oltre la logica del souvenir mordi-e-fuggi.
Periodo migliore
Dalla primavera fino all'inizio dell'autunno, quando il villaggio è più vivace; fuori stagione Molyvos diventa molto tranquilla.
Come arrivare
Molyvos dista circa un'ora di guida da Mitilene seguendo la strada settentrionale via Kalloni. Il negozio si trova nel centro del paese, tra i vicoli delle boutique ai piedi del castello.

Found this lovely little store whilst visiting Molivos, and amongst all the fabulous leather goods there, bags purses wallets, belts and of all types of sandals using some beautiful colours including lovely blues and greens. We bought a beautiful leather belt and a pair of sandals. The owner of the shop makes these all himself and he explained how the leather would soften up after a couple of wears, he clearly is passionate about what he makes. Well worth a visit, fantastic selection and at good prices too.

A charming place with beautiful genuine leather products. The owner talks passionately about his work. We bought four pairs of shoes at a good price and quality. During the purchase, you can adjust the length of the sandals to your liking. I recommend it to everyone.
