Delicious, fairly priced food and friendly staff! We had the gyros wrap, Spanish tortilla, freedom cake, and beetroot chocolate cake. All delicious and clearly homemade. Only here for a week but will definitely return.

Food by AJ, conosciuto anche come Lettuce Cafe, è un locale di cucina vegetale incastonato a Skala Eresou, il pittoresco paese costiero sulla costa sud-occidentale di Lesbo. In un luogo celebrato per la sua atmosfera rilassata e aperta e le lunghe giornate in riva al mare, questo ristorante vegano offre una gradita alternativa ai tradizionali meze e pesce alla griglia dell’isola. Gli ospiti possono gustare piatti freschi e preparati con cura, a base di verdure, legumi e ingredienti integrali — il tipo di cibo che sembra perfetto dopo una lunga mattinata sulla spiaggia di ciottoli e sabbia di Skala Eresou.

Un café plant-based dall'atmosfera rilassata a Skala Eresou, dove il menù ruota attorno agli ingredienti freschi di stagione — ciotole colorate, piatti a base di legumi e sapori mediterranei rielaborati in chiave vegetale. Il ritmo è lento e accogliente, in piena sintonia con il villaggio che lo circonda, e attira visitatori abituali, soggiorni lunghi e curiosi alla ricerca di qualcosa di diverso.
Periodo migliore
Aperto principalmente durante la stagione estiva; giugno e settembre offrono clima piacevole e meno affollamento rispetto ad agosto.
Come arrivare
Skala Eresou si trova sulla costa sudoccidentale di Lesbo, a circa un'ora e mezza di guida da Mitilene passando per Kalloni. Il café è raggiungibile a piedi dalla spiaggia.

I am not vegetarian but this was my favorite post breakfast caffè in Skala Eressos. Very tasty, fresh, healthy and well priced. If I had stayed longer (after trying a couple of the more traditional tavernas/fish restaurants) this would have become my daily canteen!! LOVED it!

I can’t even begin to describe AJ’s place! The quality of the food, the atmosphere and the service are nothing short of stunning. It felt like a home away from home but with way better food than my home and I do seriously try 😅🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

I am not someone who follows a plant-based diet, but AJ’s food completely won me over. We ended up going there every single day for both lunch and dinner! I love how everything is so fresh and that she’s building it all from the ground up with care and passion. My absolute favourite is the protein burger with the mixed salads – and the best part? The salads change daily, so you are constantly discovering new favourites and flavours. Very big appreciation for everything AJ is doing – it’s truly inspiring and I look forward to come back more times.

A must visit restaurant for all who enjoy healthy and tasty food! All made with love and care with fresh ingredients. I am not a vegan myself but I was delighted! The sweets are amazing btw, both chocholate tart and bounty bars. The atmosphere is very friendly, the place itself cosy and colorful, prices very affordable. A hidden gem by all criteria!

One of the best places I've been to and the best vegan food I ever tried. The food is really, really incredible! All the ingredients are fresh and wonderfully cooked with a lot of love and knowledge. The house wine and local beers are awesome, the atmosphere is very friendly and service is outstanding! I go back there at any given chance and consider it my "special place". The prices are way too good for the quality you get. Amazing!
