Lesbo è la terza isola più grande della Grecia, estendendosi per oltre 1.600 chilometri quadrati di pinete, oliveti, paesaggi lunari vulcanici e una costa che va da calette riparate per famiglie a spettacolari litorali aperti sul mare. Senza un'auto, gran parte di tutto questo è semplicemente fuori portata. Con un'auto, può snodarsi tra i vicoli medievali di Molivos a nord, fermarsi alla foresta pietrificata vicino a Sigri a ovest, scendere alle sorgenti termali di Polichnitos, e tornare comunque a Mitilene per cena – il tutto in una sola giornata senza fretta. Avere un mezzo proprio apre anche le porte ai villaggi più tranquilli dell'isola, ai suoi monasteri sulle colline e alle zone umide di Kalloni, che ogni primavera attirano naturalisti da tutta Europa per il birdwatching.
Per i viaggiatori che arrivano all'Aeroporto di Mitilene per la prima volta, uscire dall'area arrivi e ritrovarsi subito nella tranquillità di un marchio di noleggio familiare elimina un'incertezza da quella che è già un'entusiasmante nuova avventura. L'aeroporto è compatto e la procedura di noleggio è semplice, il che significa che in pochi minuti può mettersi in viaggio, dirigendosi a nord lungo la strada costiera o a sud verso il porto della capitale, con tutta Lesbo che l'aspetta davanti.

Il banco Hertz si trova all'interno del terminal degli arrivi, così può ritirare l'auto in pochi minuti prima ancora che si formi la coda per i taxi. Le pratiche si espletano rapidamente e i veicoli sono in buone condizioni, una garanzia preziosa prima di affrontare le strade tortuose di Lesbo per la prima volta.
Periodo migliore
Il servizio è attivo tutto l'anno in base agli orari dei voli; a luglio e agosto la domanda è elevata, quindi si consiglia di prenotare in anticipo.
Come arrivare
Il banco si trova all'interno dell'aeroporto di Mitilene, a circa 7 km dal centro città — basta seguire le indicazioni all'uscita degli arrivi, senza necessità di navette o transfer aggiuntivi.

The experience started badly, due to a 1-hour delay in car pickup. It was a general problem for all customers on the same flight who were supposed to pick up a car. Normally, the company should have found a way to compensate its customers for this delay, to keep customers happy. Luckily, you have good employees at the reception and they indirectly saved the situation, otherwise you would not have been able to avoid the complaint. Bravo to the senior employee. Despite the load, nervous tension, he kept the atmosphere in a humane state. Sorry, friend, it's not your fault, but someone has to listen. The car wasn't clean inside and out, but that's okay. We should have charged you the €12 we paid for cleaning inside and out.

Booked a Seat Arona through Sunnycars at Hertz. The car was literally parked right outside the exit! We were able to pick it up quickly. They even went around the car themselves, without an employee, to check the damage, took a picture, and drove off. The damage was also noted on the form in the car. Upon returning, we were able to park right outside the door again. An employee quickly walked around the car, no new damage, and we were able to check in within 5 minutes. Excellent service and pleasant, friendly staff with a sense of humor. 👍🏼

Last summer (August 2024), my wife and I rented a Kia Picanto (automatic) through Hertz (TUI) during our vacation in Lesbos. The car was small, nice and light, yet powerful enough to do the island justice. We chose an automatic because I simply prefer automatics. The car was in tip-top condition; the tank was 3/4 full, so we returned it at the end. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Told us to return the car with half gas, only to find out at the airport they wanted more and charged insane price for it.

Thank you for your comments. However, according to our company’s fuel policy, which is explained at the time of the pick up of the car and is on display at the desk, a client is advised to return the car with the same quantity of fuel as shown at the time of pick up.<br>In the event that the car returns with less quantity client will be charged the value of the missing fuel and the Refuelling Service charge of €18 plus vat will be applied.<br>This has been followed in your case as well and the fuel charge plus the RFC applied since you returned the car with less fuel than delivered. We regret any inconvenience experienced however please note that any gas consumption is paid by the customer.

Fast and uncomplicated booking, pickup and return. Car was in a good condition. However, our tank was not full as booked. They told us that we could also bring it back at the same level. We had preferred to get the full/full package as booked.
