Gelegen aan de zonovergoten noordkust van Lesbos, vlakbij het rustige dorp Efthalou, brengt AquaMare Beach Bar een welkome sfeer van mediterrane ontspanning naar een van de mooiste stukken kustlijn van het eiland. Met de glinsterende Egeïsche Zee voor u en de zachte heuvels van de noordkust als achtergrond is dit precies de plek waar u het tempo kunt vertragen, zich kunt nestelen in een ligstoel en de maat van de golven uw middag kunt laten bepalen.
De bar serveert koude drankjes, cocktails en verfrissingen aan strandgangers die willen bijkomen tussen de zwempartijen door, en is daarmee een natuurlijk ontmoetingspunt voor bezoekers en locals die genieten van het heldere water in dit rustigere hoekje van Lesbos. De omgeving van Efthalou staat al bekend om zijn beroemde thermale bronnen, en AquaMare past naadloos bij het ongedwongen, herstellende karakter van het dorp — een plek waar een ijskoude Mythos-bier of een verse vruchtendrank precies goed voelt na een ochtend langs de kust verkennen.
Of u nu even binnenwipt voor een snelle verfrissing of de hele middag languit blijft liggen, AquaMare biedt iets wat steeds zeldzamer wordt: een ongecompliceerde strandervaring ver van de drukkere toeristenoorden van het eiland. Wat u kunt verwachten
Ligbedden met uitzicht op open water, koude drankjes die naar u worden gebracht en een middag die ongemerkt voorbijglijdt. De thermale bronnen van Efthalou liggen op loopafstand, wat een prettige dagindeling oplevert: 's ochtends de bronnen, 's middags zee en bar. De noordkust trekt aanzienlijk minder bezoekers dan de drukkere strandgebieden van Lesbos.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Juni tot en met september voor een duik; juni en september bieden de beste combinatie van aangenaam weer en rust buiten het hoogseizoen.
Hoe er te komen
Vanuit Mytilini rijdt u richting Molyvos in het noorden; AquaMare ligt vlakbij Efthalou, op circa een uur rijden.

Since it's part of a hotel, the beach is cleaner and more refined compared to others. We loved how peaceful it was. The food and drinks were amazing — though it’s more of a beach bar menu than a tavern. For showers and changing cabins, you need to cross the road and enter the hotel.

A lovely spot with plenty of shade thanks to the trees. Comfortable sunbeds and beanbag chairs are free. The food comes from the adjacent hotel and is delicious. There are no showers on the beach, but there are at the hotel pool. You can also use the restrooms there.

Pura Vida Beach Bar is an outstanding spot in Eftalou! The excellent service and inviting atmosphere make it a top choice. Nestled among the woods, the bar has a unique and charming vibe. The quality of the coffee, cocktails, and food is superb. It's the best spot in Eftalou, perfectly situated next to the hot springs. A must-visit for anyone looking to relax and enjoy great refreshments!

A fantastic beach bar with great coffee and drinks. The staff is really polite and gentle and the service excellent. The beach there is fantastic, clean with a perfect view either to sunset or eftalou beach or the pelagos.
