Verscholen in het kustdorp Alyfada aan de zuidoostkust van Lesbos, is Box espresso & cocktail bar het soort plek dat moeiteloos de overgang maakt tussen het ochtendritueel en het avondgenot. Of u nu zonovergoten van het strand komt of tot rust komt na een dag verkennen van de olijfgaarden en Byzantijnse paden van het eiland, Box biedt een gastvrije pauze — een vakkundig bereide espresso om de zintuigen te scherpen of een zorgvuldig gemixt cocktail om langzaam over te gaan in de Egeïsche schemering.
De dubbele identiteit van de bar, als zowel serieuze koffiebestemming als cocktailgelegenheid, weerspiegelt de groeiende verfijning in de horecascène van Lesbos, waar bezoekers steeds vaker op zoek zijn naar kwaliteit én authenticiteit. Verwacht een ontspannen, onthaaste sfeer die echt lokaal aanvoelt in plaats van toeristisch, met de attente bediening die ervoor zorgt dat één drankje uitloopt tot een namiddaglijk treuzelen. De ligging nabij Alyfada plaatst het op korte afstand van de rustigere zuidkust van het eiland, waardoor het een natuurlijke uitvalsbasis is voor reizigers die liever de drukte van Mytilene vermijden.

Wat u kunt verwachten
Een intieme bar waar espresso met evenveel zorg wordt bereid als de cocktailkaart. 's Ochtends treffen stamgasten elkaar er voor een goed getrokken shot, en in de namiddag schuift de sfeer vanzelf richting aperitief. De clientèle bestaat grotendeels uit locals, wat de zaak een ontspannen authenticiteit geeft die toeristische gelegenheden zelden evenaren.

Het hele jaar geopend; zomeravonden zijn bijzonder aangenaam zodra de dagwarmte is gezakt en de boulevard van Mytilini tot leven komt.

This was my favorite breakfast venue in Mytilene. Great food, good service, such a lovely atmosphere, quiet, plenty of greenery and shade, a great way to start your day on this lovely island. Freddo capuccino was perfect! This place for me really reflects what life on this island is all about. I'm going back again this summer 🌞

we have just arrived in Lesvos. Now we are waiting for the ferry to Chios to leave. After a somewhat boring experience at the port, we found the place here. We settled down for a snack. It took some time to get a menu card, there were also many guests, but in the end we succeeded. From the time we got the menu until we were allowed to order, however, it took a long time. Finally we got ordered. A chicken salad for the wife and I grab a panini with chicken. The food came - wrong sandwich, but never mind, the one I got was delicious. The lady's salad was nice and my beer was nice and cold. Friendly and smiling service. Large salad, standard sandwich and 0.4 liter beer for €18 we thought was okay.

What an amazing place to have a cocktail! I've tried the melon one, it was awesome. Then the Paprika one and the second Paprika one hotter and 🤤 The lady is such a cutiepie she makes you feel like you're drinking with your besties at home. Don't lose your smile! And the black tables are theirs and they're not many, so, if you pass by, directly sit, you won't regret it.

From a tourists point of view this place is highly recommended for a noon to evening coffee. The tiny little street with the constant pleasant wind and lovely green exterior is a pure delight ! Service and drinks were quite good too! The place is strongly suggested :)

Perfect place for a drink and chill. I specially thanks to owner of the place and their waithress who take care for their customers personelly. Their cocktails are perfect. Just choose any one of their cocktails and You wont regret. Also they can arrange a cocktail if You describe what kind of cocktail You want. We Will be there if we go mythilini again with my wife. Thank You guys..
