Genesteld in de hoofdstad van het eiland, Mytilini, is Dia Viou Mathisi Batsolakis een centrum voor beroepsopleiding en levenslang leren dat opereert als een KEK — het Griekse acroniem voor Kentro Epaggelmatikis Katartisis, oftewel Centrum voor Beroepsopleiding. Instellingen van dit type spelen een betekenisvolle rol in het sociale en economische weefsel van Lesbos, door gestructureerde programma's aan te bieden op het gebied van beroepsvaardigheden, taalonderwijs en permanente educatie aan inwoners die hun kwalificaties willen opbouwen of bijwerken. Het centrum weerspiegelt een breder engagement in heel Griekenland voor toegankelijk, door de staat ondersteund volwassenenonderwijs, waardoor lokale gemeenschappen worden geholpen zich aan te passen aan veranderende economische omstandigheden.

Beste tijd om te gaan
Het centrum is het hele jaar open; als u uw bezoek combineert met een wandeling door Mytilini, bieden eind mei en het vroege najaar het aangenaamste wandelweer.
Hoe er te komen
Het centrum ligt minder dan een kilometer van de haven van Mytilini en is gemakkelijk te voet te bereiken in ongeveer tien minuten vanaf de boulevard.

I am very happy with my collaboration with the Batsolakis Mytilene center. Chara and Melianna, as well as the other girls, really give their best. They are helpful, kind and with their beautiful smiles they brighten our days. The teachers are also excellent and we thank them for everything. Well done!!!

Excellent KEK – 100% organization, knowledge and support! I attended a training program at Batsolakis Lifelong Learning Center and my experience was truly impeccable. From the first contact to the completion of the program, everything worked with professionalism, consistency and a human approach. The lecturers were fully qualified, contagious and always available to answer questions. The course material was complete, modern and essential – not just theory, but practical knowledge that really helped me develop. The administrative staff was helpful and polite, with a quick response to any question or procedural issue. I honestly felt that they respected me and supported me at every step. The training center was impeccable on all levels... professionalism, consistency, and substantial support throughout the program. The speakers were knowledgeable and contagious, with a genuine willingness to share knowledge and experiences. The girls in the secretariat are excellent with courtesy, respect, and a friendly disposition. I would highly recommend it.
