Barspoon is een bar in Perama, een rustig kustplaatsje aan de zuidelijke oever van de Golf van Kalloni in het hart van Lesbos. Het dorp staat bekend om zijn trage tempo en lokale karakter, waardoor het een natuurlijke thuisbasis is voor een buurtplek waar zowel bewoners als passerende reizigers een kruk kunnen pakken en ontspannen.
Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, richt Barspoon zich op de kunst van het drinken, het soort plek waar de focus ligt op een goed gemaakte cocktail of een koud lokaal biertje in plaats van spektakel. De ligging nabij de golf zorgt ervoor dat de avonden die specifieke Egeïsche kwaliteit kunnen hebben — een zacht briesje vanaf het water, het geluid van het dorp dat tot rust komt — die van een simpel drankje iets gedenkwaardigers maakt.

Barspoon is een ontspannen buurtbar waar alle zorg naar het glas gaat — een goed gemaakte cocktail of een koud bier, zonder poespas geserveerd. De avonden hebben hier een rustig ritme: een bries van de golf drijft aan, het dorp valt stil om u heen, en een drankje wordt reden om nog even te blijven.

Eind lente tot begin herfst is de ideale periode; zomeravonden zijn bijzonder aangenaam wanneer de zeebries de hitte verzacht.
Hoe er te komen
Perama ligt op ongeveer een kwartier rijden van Mytilini langs de zuidkust van de Golf van Kalloni — een gemakkelijke tussenstop op weg naar de wetlands van Kalloni of de traditionele dorpen in het binnenland van Lesbos.

I’m Greek born in Germany I was looking for a budget holiday for me and my family and I found this gem as an island but also as a bar. The owner was an of the friendliest people i have ever seen and the bar location is perfect near by the sea the cocktail was amazing but their strong advantages are the food and the atmosphere one of the best I have experienced. Staff was exceptional, friendly but also quick in their orders last but not least the prices are insane so cheap! If you visit mitilyne in Greece you should definitely come here!!
