Late lente tot begin oktober is het beste moment; zomeravonden zijn bijzonder aangenaam dankzij de verkoelende kustbries.

Kafkas Mytilene ligt op een korte rijafstand van het centrum van Mytilini, aan de kust bij Alyfada — minder dan tien minuten vanaf de haven.
