Don't know why it's taken me so long to review this place. It's favourite place in Lesvos. Location and food great but what makes it are the staff. Just delightful. Especially the host, Xristos.

Yalos Food Drinks and More is een gastvrij restaurant en bar vlak bij het waterfront van Skala Eresou, een rustig kustdorpje aan de zuidwestpunt van Lesbos. De naam 'yalos' betekent kust of oever in het Grieks — een verwijzing naar het zonnige, ongedwongen karakter van deze plek. Skala Eresou staat bekend om zijn lange zandstrand en ontspannen levenstempo, en Yalos past daar naadloos bij: het is een plek om bij te komen en nieuwe energie op te doen na een ochtend in het water of een middag door het dorp slenteren.
Het menu biedt de veelzijdige keuze die u van een plek met de naam 'Food, Drinks and More' mag verwachten — Griekse gerechten naast lichte hapjes, frisse drankjes en een gastvrijheid die bezoekers langer houdt dan ze van plan waren. Of u nu aanschuift voor een middagmaaltijd, een namiddagkoffie met zeezicht of een avonddrankje terwijl het licht vervaagt boven de Egeïsche Zee, Yalos beslaat de volle boog van een dag op Lesbos. Voor reizigers die Skala Eresou als uitvalsbasis kiezen, is het een betrouwbaar en gezellig vast adres.

Wat u kunt verwachten
Bij Yalos komen strandgangers, wandelaars en lokale bewoners samen aan tafels waar niemand haast heeft om op te staan. Na een ochtend in zee bestelt men koude drankjes en Griekse gerechten, en de sfeer glijdt moeiteloos door naar een avonddrankje terwijl het licht over de Egeïsche Zee verkleurt.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Eind mei tot september is het beste seizoen, wanneer het strand van Skala Eresou volop in gebruik is en de avonden aan het water aangenaam warm zijn.
Hoe er te komen
Skala Eresou ligt ongeveer 90 minuten rijden van Mytilini, via de hoofdweg westwaarts door het binnenland van het eiland; eenmaal in het dorp vindt u Yalos makkelijk terug vlakbij de kust.

Such a lovely family restaurant. Very good value, big portions. We walked here from our hotel as we were bored of the hotel food. We had an omelette, eggs Benedict and a crepe to share (also huge) planning on bringing our kids back.

My favourite place to be, felt like home. This family run bar is simply exquisite and a must visit when you come to the island. The food is out of this world, cocktails simply irresistible, legendary prices and lovely staff is simply the cherry on top. Thank you for making my trip 🫶🥹

I have to correct below review I did before. They are cheating on taxes. Getting cash without giving any receipts. I asked for a receipt which is obligatory by law and he brought me an old wrinkled receipt. This is reportable to the authorities. We ordered crepe with egg and bacon. It was awful. It tasted like old coconut oil. It is still full of people. They do not care about the quality of the food. The coffee needs to improve. It was poor quality. The omelette was great. This is a beautiful place by the seaside with cheerful atmosphere and decorations. We had breakfast here. It took a very long time for the omelette to arrive but it was big and delicious, enough for 2 persons actually. The coffee tastes horrible. It's a nice and popular place all in all.

Absolutely amazing experience at Yalos! The food was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared—from the appetizers and salad to the entrées, pizza, and the baklava for dessert, every bite was delicious. Our whole party was thrilled with the variety and quality. The view is simply stunning, the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. Chris provided outstanding service and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend!

Love this place everytime we visit lesvos we come here and feel so welcome by Andromaxi and Christo and family. The food is gorgeous fresh and huge portions! Nice chilled vibe. Can't go wrong!! 🤗🤗🤗

Best cold coffee in eressos! The only place I’ve found that has oat milk and it was sooo good. Came every morning to drink it here. For vegans- they have a great vegan omelette made from cheek pea flour and vegan cheese. The stuff is so kind and it makes all the difference. Really recommend!!!!

This is my favorite restaurant in lesvos! Incredible vegan options, including vegan eggs made from chickpea flour, a beautiful view, and owned by the most wonderful people. Their kindness made me feel at home on the island. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Gialos can offer visitors a great relaxing experience. There is a rich selection of coffees and breakfast dishes. I was very impressed by my freddo cappucino coffee. Excellent service.
