Κρυμμένο κοντά στο ιστορικό χωριό του ούζου, το Πλωμάρι, στη νότια ακτή της Λέσβου, το Χρωματικά παίρνει το όνομά του από την ελληνική λέξη για το χρώμα — και αυτό το πνεύμα της ζωηρής έκφρασης διατρέχει τα πάντα που προσφέρει ο χώρος. Μέσα από τοπικές χειροτεχνίες, εικαστικές τέχνες και επιλεγμένα προϊόντα που αντανακλούν τη ζωντανή πολιτιστική παλέτα του νησιού, τα Χρωματικά αποτελούν ένα δημιουργικό σημείο αναφοράς σε μια περιοχή πιο γνωστή για τα αποστακτήρια και τα ψαραδίκα λιμάνια της — μια υπενθύμιση ότι η Λέσβος υπήρξε ανέκαθεν τόπος όπου η τέχνη ανθεί δίπλα στην παράδοση.
Όσοι περιπλανηθούν από την ηλιόλουστη παραλία του Πλωμαρίου θα ανακαλύψουν έναν χαρακτήρα αρκετά διαφορετικό από το τυπικό κατάστημα με σουβενίρ. Τα είδη που προσφέρονται εδώ φαίνεται να πηγάζουν από μια γνήσια εκτίμηση για την αιγαιοπελαγίτικη αισθητική, αντλώντας από τις υφές, τις αποχρώσεις και τη φιλοσοφία της χειροτεχνίας που ορίζουν τη ζωή στο νησί. Είναι το είδος του χώρου όπου ένα προσεκτικά επιλεγμένο αντικείμενο — μια εκτύπωση, ένα κεραμικό, ένα ύφασμα — μπορεί να αποτυπώσει τη μνήμη της Λέσβου πολύ πιο εύγλωττα από οτιδήποτε μαζικής παραγωγής.
Το Πλωμάρι από μόνο του αξίζει αδιάβροχη εξερεύνηση, με τη νεοκλασική αρχιτεκτονική του, τα εν λειτουργία αποστακτήρια ούζου και μια έντονη παλαιόκοσμη ατμόσφαιρα — και τα Χρωματικά εντάσσονται φυσικά σε αυτόν τον ρυθμό. Για τους ταξιδιώτες που αναζητούν κάτι πέρα από την παραλία, μια στάση εδώ προσφέρει μια στιγμή γνήσιας τοπικής ανακάλυψης — την ευκαιρία να έρθουν σε επαφή με τη δημιουργική ζωή του νησιού και ίσως να πάρουν μαζί τους κάτι που μιλά για την ξεχωριστή ομορφιά αυτής της γωνιάς της Ελλάδας.

Ο χώρος έχει ήρεμη ατμόσφαιρα που σας καλεί να μείνετε και να εξετάσετε κάθε αντικείμενο από κοντά. Είναι μια στάση που ταιριάζει φυσικά στο ρυθμό της περιήγησης στο ιστορικό Πλωμάρι.
Καλύτερη εποχή
Από τα τέλη της άνοιξης έως τις αρχές φθινοπώρου ο καιρός είναι ευχάριστος· τον Ιούλιο και τον Αύγουστο το Πλωμάρι ζωντανεύει με επισκέπτες.
Πώς θα φτάσετε
Από τη Μυτιλήνη, ακολουθήστε τη νότια παράκτια οδό προς το Πλωμάρι — η διαδρομή διαρκεί περίπου 40 με 50 λεπτά. Η Χρωματίκα βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της πόλης, κοντά στην παραλία.

A wonderful shop, with wonderful products, full of colors and very good prices. A fantastic little shop with very friendly staff and a collection of special clothes, jewelry, gifts and much more. The owners - employees are very kind and helpful, but above all people with empathy and ethics. Congratulations!

A wonderful little clothing store with incredible things, little treasures! Its prices are extremely affordable, whenever I visit Plomari, I will definitely stop by there, to discover something new and truly unique. The staff is extremely friendly and will make you feel as comfortable as if you were shopping from your own home. Also, the fact that I recently learned that he supports the suffering people of Palestine is a very important advantage for me, proving that his people, in addition to being simple business owners, are also good people. if you find yourself in Plomari it is definitely worth a visit from there, I highly recommend it!

When i entered this magnificent shop i told them word by word that if someone told me this shop was in hip Amsterdam i would believe them. Everything in there is very well thought of with a lot of small clothing brands and illustrations. Will be defenatelly coming back.

The objects in the store became unimportant once you read the subversive political writings and ads inside and outside the store. Should not be forced to undergo such blatant improper speech when shopping in a Greek village. Better shop in places that do not force their political beliefs onto unsuspecting visitors...

It is a call for humanity: “Pressure your governments to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. Humanity knows no borders. Freedom to all.”<br>If that statement feels subversive to you, perhaps the problem lies not in the message, but in the reality it reflects.<br>You mention “political writings inside and outside” the store, which is curious, as the only message expressing our stance is clearly and openly placed on our front window. Perhaps your review reflects not a personal shopping experience, but something else entirely.<br>We do not force beliefs on anyone. But we also refuse to pretend that genocide is an acceptable backdrop for leisurely shopping.<br>You are, of course, free to shop elsewhere. We are free to speak.

High prices coupled with poor quality items. In addition, poor taste political activism that has no place in a clothing store, nor in a quaint Greek village. Will not step in on principle. Should be avoided..

We have never pretended to be a “neutral” store: in a world witnessing genocide in real-time, neutrality is complicity.<br>Our support for the civilians of Gaza and all oppressed people is a matter of conscience and humanity. Asking for humanitarian aid to pass is not provocative. Saying “Stop genocide” is not an ideological slogan, it’s a basic call for justice and compassion.<br>We also find it important to note that, despite the strong words in your review, you have never actually visited our shop. Criticizing a space and its people without having stepped inside speaks more about distance than about understanding.

What a gem! A fantastic little shop with very friendly staff and a collection of quirky clothes, jewellery, gifts, and many more. I bought a couple of bracelets and a shirt from a lovely Greek brand. I will definitely go back!!!
