Delicious fare: Grilled sardines, lamb chops, souvlaki, and a great house Greek red wine. Very nice value, beautiful ocean front view. Friendly and accommodating staff. Will be back again this week!

Immerso nel tranquillo villaggio costiero di Agios Isidoros, sulla costa meridionale di Lesbo, Aphrodite Taverna-Studios offre quella rara combinazione tanto apprezzata dai viaggiatori in cerca di un’esperienza di isola greca senza fretta: un luogo dove mangiare bene e dormire in modo semplice, tutto in uno. La costa meridionale di Lesbo è meno battuta delle località balneari più a nord, il che rende villaggi come Agios Isidoros un autentico rifugio per chi desidera scoprire l’isola al proprio ritmo, tra uliveti, pescherecci e il ritmo rilassato della vita locale. Il lato taverna della struttura è il genere di posto dove il menu segue le stagioni e il pescato del giorno. Aspettatevi una cucina greca genuina, radicata nelle tradizioni dell’Egeo orientale: pesce fresco, olio d’oliva spremuto localmente, carni alla griglia e quei piatti di legumi cotti a fuoco lento che hanno nutrito le famiglie lesbie per generazioni. Mangiare qui, con l’aria tiepida che porta il profumo del mare e delle colline circostanti, è tanto una questione di atmosfera quanto di sostentamento. Per i visitatori che vogliono trattenersi, gli studios offrono un alloggio semplice e confortevole, che permette di raggiungere facilmente il villaggio e i suoi dintorni. Da Agios Isidoros potete esplorare la più ampia costa meridionale di Lesbo, con i suoi insediamenti tradizionali, le cappelle bizantine e le calette di ciottoli. Cosa aspettarsi
La sera la taverna si riempie dei profumi della griglia e del mare, riunendo abitanti del villaggio e visitatori di passaggio attorno a tavoli condivisi, con i ritmi distesi che solo un piccolo borgo costiero sa offrire. La cucina segue il pescato del giorno e le stagioni — pesce alla griglia, stufati di legumi, olio d'oliva locale — e gli studio annessi permettono di rientrare in pochi passi dopo cena con il rumore del mare ancora nelle orecchie.
Periodo migliore
Da fine maggio a settembre è il periodo migliore; luglio e agosto sono caldi ma Agios Isidoros rimane notevolmente più tranquillo rispetto alle zone balneari più frequentate del nord di Lesbo.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene si percorre la strada verso sud in direzione della costa meridionale — il tragitto dura circa 35-45 minuti a seconda del percorso scelto. Agios Isidoros si trova sul litorale ed è segnalato dalla strada principale.

We went there for lunch and after waiting to be seated for a while we figured we had to seat ourselves which we did. After being ignored for 10 minutes, a waiter comes to tell us the table is reserved, despite there being no indication of this. We were moved to a different table where we waited a long time for our food, which was ok.

We have been at Aphrodite for breakfast. It was OK for the money we have paid, on the other hand, we had good and quick service. We did not stayed at studios, therefor no comment to make. All the food we had were delicious. Seashore was perfect, we have enjoyed. Parking is problematic in the area when it is Sunday.

They like kicking out people that are sitting down for two hours lol. Claiming the table is reserved with a very mean matter, went back after 10 minutes, 4 tables were empty so we could be seated down again. Avoid.

We used this restaurant’s beach area for three days and had our lunch here each time. The food was consistently good and never disappointed us. On the last day, we had sea bass, which was a bit pricey (19euro) — we weren’t sure why, but overall we were satisfied with everything. In Agios Isidoros, there really aren’t many other beachside restaurants to choose from, so this is a solid option. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free, but note that payments at the beach are cash only.

Great location and great stuff 5 ⭐️ Kind and very polite. Food was average, I ordered a souvlakia-kalamaki 3⭐️that was a bit dry but good with the extra souce I had to buy. My wife ordered pastitsio 2⭐️that was a bit tasteless. Tirokafteri/spicy feta cheese 5 ⭐️

There is no menu at the beach side, you can see it in the restaurant but the prices you see don’t mislead you because they belong to restaurant prices, a little bit more expensive at the beach side. Additionally, the sea is perfect and the sunbeds are new and cozy.

We had the chance to use the beach and have lunch. The sunbeds are of high quality very comfortable, unlike the other beaches nearby. The umbrella is also very good. Lunch was also excellent, we had fried calamari, greek salad, jumbo shrimps, and amberjack fish, all of which were very well done. Service is typically slow, which is the norm in Greece.
