The dishes are extremly good You must try grilled octopus (my favorite one) Also the sunset and the view is very good you must visit and meet the employees they are very kind and friendly :)
About this Beach
Nascosta lungo la costa settentrionale di Lesbo vicino al tranquillo villaggio di Evaggelistria, Avlaki è una di quelle calette tranquille che premiano i viaggiatori disposti ad allontanarsi dai sentieri turistici più battuti. La spiaggia ha un'atmosfera tipicamente lesbiana del nord — un tratto di ciottoli e sabbia grossa che incontra le acque limpide e blu profondo dell'Egeo, incorniciata dalle colline aspre e sbiancate dal sole che caratterizzano questa parte dell'isola. L'acqua qui tende a essere eccezionalmente limpida, come è tipico delle coste meno frequentate di Lesbo, e il fondale roccioso nei bassifondi lascia spazio a tratti sabbiosi più al largo, rendendolo piacevole sia per nuotare che per fare snorkeling. I servizi ad Avlaki sono minimi, il che è proprio parte del suo fascino. I visitatori dovrebbero venire preparati con le proprie provviste, ombra e acqua dolce, poiché la spiaggia è poco sviluppata commercialmente. Il paesaggio circostante porta il carattere selvaggio e aromatico dell'entroterra settentrionale di Lesbo — uliveti, macchia secca e il profumo sempre presente di origano e timo — conferendo all'intero luogo un senso di pacata atemporalità. L'accesso richiede in genere di percorrere una strada locale, quindi è consigliabile un'auto o uno scooter. Il periodo migliore per visitare Avlaki va da fine maggio a settembre, quando l'Egeo è abbastanza caldo per una comoda nuotata e la brezza di meltemi mantiene il calore piacevole anziché opprimente. L'inizio dell'estate è particolarmente gratificante, quando i pendii conservano ancora tracce di verde prima che la siccità estiva prenda il sopravvento. Questa è una spiaggia per coloro che vengono a Lesbo in cerca di una quieta comunione con il mare piuttosto che di servizi da resort — un piccolo angolo autentico dell'Egeo dove la giornata rallenta e l'acqua parla più di ogni altra cosa.

Cosa aspettarsi
Avlaki è una piccola insenatura di ciottoli e sabbia grossa, con acque così trasparenti da permetterLe di vedere il fondale roccioso già dalle zone basse. Non ci sono attrezzature in affitto né bar sulla spiaggia, quindi è necessario portare tutto il necessario, il che contribuisce al silenzio quasi assoluto che si respira qui. Il fondale è ideale per lo snorkeling lungo i bordi rocciosi.
Periodo migliore
Da fine maggio a settembre per fare il bagno; i primi di giugno offrono acque calde con pochissimi visitatori.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene si guida verso nord-est in direzione del villaggio di Evaggelistria — il tragitto richiede circa 30-40 minuti. L'ultimo tratto percorre una strada locale, quindi è indispensabile un'auto o uno scooter.

One of my favourite places. Rarely crowded. Beautiful location sat on its own sandy beach. The sunset views are outstanding. Recommend the pork steak, but never had a bad meal. Love Avlaki ❤️

We came here twice for lunch and sunbeds on the beach. The food is excellent, freshest of fish, we had sardines and seabream both beautifully cooked and huge salad. Very friendly service, immaculately clean and views to die for. Free sunbeds, lovely small beach gently shelving into the sea. Our favourite beach in Petra and Anaxos.

We were here a month ago for a great lunch. I almost feel guilty for not writing this sooner. Teo was an ambassador of exemplary service. Everything we ordered from the menu was made with care. The location right next to the sea is amazing and the retsina goes down pretty quickly in the setting. We had a wonderful time here and we are already looking forward to going back for more next time.

We have tried many dishes such as meatballs, spaghatti, musakka, chicken souvlaki and we have pleased of all. Especially you can order meatballs for your child. And also staff is friendly ve caring,beach is calm and clean,prices are average.
