Delicate foods, great atmosphere and very friendly owner! This is my second trip to Scala Eresous and Gorgona Restaurant is the best at the town. Mihallis is fantastic man! We had great time and enjoyed the food. Highly recommend!

Il Ristorante Gorgona si trova nell'incantevole villaggio costiero di Skala Eresou, sulla costa sud-occidentale di Lesbo, dove il ritmo della vita rallenta e l'Egeo si distende ampio verso l'orizzonte. Prende il nome dalla sirena della leggenda greca, Gorgona cattura lo spirito di questo tranquillo villaggio di pescatori con quel tipo di cucina onesta e generosa che ha reso le taverne greche amate in tutto il mondo. Qui si può gustare pesce fresco appena pescato dai pescatori locali, carni alla griglia e classici mezedes serviti con calore senza fretta.
Skala Eresou è conosciuta come una delle destinazioni più rilassate e accoglienti di Lesbo, che attira visitatori per la sua lunga spiaggia sabbiosa, l'atmosfera libera e il legame con l'antica poetessa lirica Saffo, nata nella vicina Eresou. Il Gorgona si inserisce naturalmente in questo contesto, offrendo un luogo dove ritrovarsi dopo una lunga giornata in spiaggia o dove trattenersi per una cena mentre il sole tramonta all'orizzonte. Sia che si ordini un semplice piatto di pesce alla griglia con limone e olio d'oliva, o che ci si accomodi per una più ricca selezione di piatti da condividere, il ristorante propone quel tipo di cibo genuino e appagante che spinge i viaggiatori a tornare.

Cosa aspettarsi
I tavoli si estendono verso il lungomare e il profumo di carbone e aria marina la accoglie prima ancora di sedersi. Il menù segue le barche dei pescatori — ciò che è arrivato quella mattina è ciò che vale la pena ordinare. È il tipo di pasto che si allunga piacevolmente mentre la luce tramonta sull'Egeo.
Periodo migliore
Da giugno a settembre, nel pieno della stagione balneare; le serate di fine agosto sono particolarmente suggestive quando l'afflusso estivo inizia a diminuire.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene si procede verso ovest passando per Kalloni, poi a sud verso Eressos; il tragitto dura circa 90 minuti e Skala Eresou si trova alla fine della strada, affacciata direttamente sul mare.

It's ok, it was part of our tracking in the group. So it was pre-payed. I probably would have choose one of the other restaurants.

An absolute gem! The food here is delicious, very local, and truly traditional—exactly what you’d hope for in a family-owned restaurant. The service is amazing: warm, attentive, and incredibly fast. They really look after you, taking the time to understand and accommodate any dietary requirements with genuine care and knowledge. The setting couldn’t be more perfect—you’re right on the beach, so you can enjoy a swim downstairs and then come up for an ouzo and some mouthwatering Greek meze. The whole experience feels authentic, welcoming, and absolutely delicious. A must-visit!

mediocre food , targeted to tourists mostly that do not know what a Greek tomato or Greek feta tastes like. The Greek salad was a disappointment . Fish was grilled good but not cleaned thoroughly from scales. The rest was just OK nothing special . Much better restaurants around in Skala that have consistently good food and do not bring down quality especially when the season is high and especially in a land like Eresos that has so many local products .

We came for 7 days and became regulars quite quickly. The service was impeccable- having a very messy baby with us, we were met with great understanding and support. The food is excellent and of high quality. Being Greek it’s easy to distinguish between fresh, good quality and average and this place is truly excellent. Would highly recommend

The atmosphere and the service are very good. The staff is friendly. They offered us one of the most romantic tables. The kavourosalata and the ouzo were nice🦀. Only the shrimps were not cleaned off their shells, which sometimes happens but we wished we would have been warned about it.
