It could easily have been the most beautiful courthouse in the country from an architectural point of view. It is located in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, it needs maintenance. Of course, other parts of Mytilene and the entire island are ahead of it.

Situato nel quartiere costiero di Alyfada, alla periferia di Mitilene, la capitale storica dell'isola, il Mitilene Court offre ai visitatori una comoda base per esplorare una delle città più stratificate culturalmente dell'Egeo.
La posizione permette agli ospiti di raggiungere facilmente la passeggiata del porto di Mitilene, dove i pescherecci ondeggiano accanto a caffè e ouzerie che si protendono verso l'acqua, e i grandi palazzi neoclassici che costeggiano la città alta testimoniano la prospera epoca mercantile del XIX secolo. La vicinanza sia al mare che al centro città rende questa struttura una scelta allettante per i viaggiatori che desiderano la tranquillità di un ambiente residenziale senza rinunciare all'accesso al vivace cuore urbano di Lesbo.
Mitilene stessa ricompensa un'esplorazione senza fretta: l'imponente castello bizantino e genovese che corona il promontorio, il Museo Archeologico con i suoi celebri mosaici antichi, il vivace mercato coperto e gli stretti vicoli della città vecchia raccontano ciascuno un diverso capitolo di una storia che risale a più di due millenni e mezzo. Soggiornare al Mitilene Court significa che questi punti di riferimento non sono mai lontani, mentre il ritmo più tranquillo di Alyfada offre un piacevole rifugio alla fine della giornata. La costa circostante offre un facile accesso a punti balneabili lungo il golfo, e la strada a nord di Mitilene si apre su alcuni dei paesaggi più panoramici dell'isola, dagli oliveti dell'interno di Lesbo alle terapeutiche sorgenti termali di Thermi.
Per i viaggiatori che arrivano in traghetto al porto di Mitilene — la principale porta d'ingresso all'isola — il Mitilene Court rappresenta una prima o ultima tappa pratica e ricca di carattere in un viaggio a Lesbo. Cosa aspettarsi
Soggiornare qui significa trovarsi a pochi minuti a piedi dal lungomare di Mitilene, dove barche da pesca, caffè sul porto e bar da ouzo animano le mattine con i suoni e i profumi di una città portuale egea autentica. Il quartiere di Alyfada mantiene un ritmo locale e genuino, lontano dall'affollamento turistico, mentre il castello bizantino sulla collina rimane visibile quasi da ogni angolo come punto di riferimento costante. Le giornate si dividono naturalmente tra il mercato coperto, i vicoli della città vecchia e le calette del golfo raggiungibili in pochi minuti di auto.
Periodo migliore
Da fine aprile a ottobre è il periodo ideale; luglio e agosto sono caldi e vivaci, con caffè e taverne aperti fino a tarda notte.
Come arrivare
La struttura si trova all'interno di Mitilene, a meno di un chilometro dal terminal dei traghetti, quindi chi arriva da Atene o da altri porti può raggiungere l'alloggio in pochi minuti di taxi — o a piedi con bagaglio leggero.

I have done 2 court distributions there 15 years ago!! The court appointed an engineer to prepare a report. The engineer said that I have no connection with the court. The court assigned another engineer to prepare a report. The decision was delayed and I took the engineer myself to ask them if he did an autopsy report as the court appointed him!! His answer was that I am not going to a dispute with the owner who lives in the village and I have known them for many years and I will not!! Since then there has been no information from the courthouse.

The architecture that the building follows is "neoclassical oriental style". It is located in the "Kioski" area, which is dominated by two of the most impressive buildings on the island... Its construction, as the Ottoman High School of Mytilene, began in 1888 and was completed in 1893. The cost of construction reached 8,000 pounds. It was inaugurated in 1896 and since 1912, it has housed the Courthouse of Mytilene...

So far I've only been passing by from the outside...A building that is a jewel for the city of Mytilene!! The architecture that the building follows is "neoclassical oriental style". It is located in the "Kiosk" area, which is dominated by two of the most impressive buildings on the island... Its construction, as the Ottoman Gymnasium of Mytilene (Intantie), began in 1888 and was completed in 1893, with the architect Dimitris Meimaris. The cost of construction reached 8,000 pounds. It was inaugurated on 19/08/1896 and since 1912, it has housed the Mytilene Courthouse...

Building - a jewel, of wonderful architecture but old. Needs maintenance. A black spot are the toilets which are outside the building and despite the honest efforts of the cleaner they are miserable to say the least. Observation: The courthouse of Mytilene is identical to that of Komotini in everything except the facade. Probably by the same architect.
