Annidato nel vivace villaggio di Petra sulla costa nord-occidentale di Lesbo, RAMA è uno di quei posti locali che premiano il viaggiatore curioso disposto a esplorare oltre il lungomare. Petra stessa è un luogo di autentico carattere — una comunità operosa dove i pescherecci entrano ancora in porto ogni mattina e l'imponente roccia monolitica sormontata da una cappella imbiancata a calce definisce ogni panorama. Su questo sfondo, RAMA offre ai visitatori la possibilità di ambientarsi, rallentare e vivere il ritmo della vita quotidiana in uno dei villaggi più amati di Lesbo. Che vi troviate qui per un caffè a fine mattinata o per qualcosa di più forte quando la luce pomeridiana diventa dorata sull'Egeo, RAMA porta con sé il calore senza fretta che definisce la migliore ospitalità greca. Le strade circostanti di Petra sono facili da girare, fiancheggiate da case in pietra avvolte da buganvillee e piccole piazze dove la gente del posto si riunisce a ogni ora, e RAMA si inserisce naturalmente in questo mondo senza fretta. È il tipo di posto dove le conversazioni si allungano più del previsto e il mondo esterno sembra confortevolmente lontano. Per i visitatori che percorrono la costa settentrionale di Lesbo — magari diretti alla foresta pietrificata o alle saline di Kalloni — Petra rappresenta una pausa ideale, e RAMA offre proprio quel tipo di sosta autentica e radicata che trasforma una giornata di visite turistiche in qualcosa di più memorabile. Questo angolo dell'isola si muove al suo ritmo, e RAMA è un ottimo posto per lasciarsi avvolgere da esso.

Cosa aspettarsi
La cappellina imbiancata sulla roccia iconica di Petra fa parte dello sfondo quotidiano visto da RAMA — non un belvedere spettacolare, ma una presenza silenziosa che si nota tra un sorso e l'altro. La clientela è in gran parte locale, e i visitatori che si fermano qui tendono a sentirsi meno turisti e più habitué prima di andarsene.
Periodo migliore
Da maggio a ottobre è il periodo adatto per una visita; giugno e settembre offrono il miglior equilibrio tra calore e tranquillità, lontano dall'affollamento estivo.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene, si percorre la strada principale verso nord-ovest passando per Kalloni fino alla costa — il tragitto dura circa 50-60 minuti; RAMA si trova nel centro del paese di Petra, a breve distanza a piedi dal lungomare.

We were really looking forward to spending time at this beach restaurant in Petra, but the experience started on the wrong note. The staff, particularly the lady who greeted us, was more focused on enforcing the €10 charge for the sunbeds per person than actually welcoming us. She didn’t mention that the fee could also be considered a minimum consumption, which we only found out later. The interaction felt transactional and dismissive, which was disappointing. We chose to leave and found a much friendlier atmosphere at a nearby spot.

The pizza is really perfect like my mother did. The restaurant has really beautiful sightseeing. The people are really nice and friendly. After dinner they offer us delicious icecream for free. Everything was great. This place is already my favorite place for lesvos. I prefer this place blindfolded:) you should definitely try here. Greek pizza is my favorite btw:) and additionally homemade wine is really perfect.

Delicious unique pizzas and friendly staff. We tried two “small” pizzas that were both excellent. We are every bite! Would highly recommend eating here for pizzas if in the area.

Superbly clean and great service right on the beach with great views. Only had lunch or coffee here but really nice pizza and salad. Nice people.
