Very beautiful and clean flavors. Try everything but like the locals the baklava (fragrant butter & as much syrup). The service is excellent!

Incastonato nella tranquilla campagna vicino al villaggio di Ippeio, Toulipa è una di quelle soste senza fretta che ricordano perché vale sempre la pena percorrere le strade più tranquille di Lesbo. Il paesaggio circostante è tipicamente lesbio — colline ondulate punteggiate da antichi uliveti, l'aria che porta il lieve profumo delle erbe selvatiche, e un ritmo di vita che appare piacevolmente lontano dal trambusto della costa. Una visita a un locale in questa parte dell'isola riguarda tanto l'assorbire l'atmosfera quanto ciò che viene offerto. Ippeio si trova nell'entroterra fertile di Lesbo, una parte dell'isola plasmata da generazioni di tradizione agricola e da un profondo legame con la terra. Le attività che mettono radici in villaggi come questo tendono a riflettere quel carattere — concrete, autentiche, e spesso gestite da famiglie che chiamano casa questa zona da decenni. Che Toulipa sia un caffè, un piccolo negozio o un luogo di ritrovo locale, probabilmente si basa sui prodotti genuini e sulla calorosa ospitalità che definiscono la cultura rurale lesbia, dal celebre olio d'oliva e ouzo locali ai formaggi e alle conserve che raramente lasciano l'isola. Per i visitatori che esplorano oltre i sentieri battuti di Molyvos o Mitilene, una sosta a Toulipa offre uno scorcio autentico della vita quotidiana nella campagna lesbia. Cosa aspettarsi
Toulipa si trova in un angolo tranquillo dell'entroterra orientale di Lesbo, dove gli oliveti si spingono fino ai margini del paese e il ritmo di Ippeio detta i tempi. È il tipo di posto in cui ci si siede senza fretta — le conversazioni scorrono con calma e il paesaggio agricolo tutt'intorno diventa parte integrante di ciò per cui si è venuti. Si aspetti qualcosa di semplice, autentico e profondamente radicato nella vita quotidiana di una comunità rurale viva.
Periodo migliore
La fine della primavera fino ai primi di ottobre è il periodo più piacevole; i pomeriggi estivi nell'entroterra sono notevolmente più caldi che sulla costa, quindi si preferiscano le mattine o il tardo pomeriggio.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene, si prende la strada verso i villaggi collinari dell'est di Lesbo; Ippeio dista circa 25 minuti in auto, attraversando oliveti e piccoli insediamenti agricoli.

It is the ultimate pastry shop on the island. Whatever our event was —wedding, baptism, birthday— it was always our first and only choice. Their sweets are fresh, delicious, full of flavor and love. Anyone who visits Ippeios and doesn't try a sweet from there will be considered... a sacrilege!

An excellent pastry shop! Everything is fresh, high quality and with flavors reminiscent of the old, authentic pastry. They stand out for their traditional sweets, made with love and good ingredients. The service was impeccable and the place was warm and clean.

The best sweets on the island with a variety. The prices are also excellent. Every time the sweets are fresh and if something is not of the day they don't give it to us. That says a lot... We have tried cakes, cornets, apple pies, ekmek and profiteroles.

It is the best pastry shop ever ever ever. It has one big disadvantage, IT IS INSIDE OUR FEET, HOW MANY KILOS WILL WE LOSE?;;;;; PS. I will never, ever forget when every summer we went as children for ice cream + but also to get my birthday cake that my grandmother had ordered) that smell of fresh dessert and fresh raw materials. Forever etched in my mind.
