Genesteld tussen de eeuwenoude olijfgaarden van noordelijk Lesbos, ligt Villa Mont D' Olives vlak bij het idyllische kustgehucht Efthalou, een kuststrook die al lang geroemd wordt om zijn therapeutische warmwaterbronnen en serene uitzichten over de Egeïsche Zee. Het omringende landschap is typisch voor Lesbos: knoestige, eeuwenoude olijfbomen bedekken de heuvels met zilvergroen, en in de verte zijn de glinsterende wateren van de Golf van Kalloni te zien. Deze hoek van het eiland trekt al generaties lang bezoekers die rust en vernieuwing zoeken, en de villa zet die stille traditie van onthaasting voort. Mont D' Olives biedt gasten een privé villa-retraite die het authentieke karakter van het landelijke Lesbos weet te vangen zonder in te leveren op comfort. Hier verblijven betekent wakker worden met vogelgezang en het ritselen van olijftakken, met gemakkelijke toegang tot de beroemde thermale baden van Efthalou, vlak langs de kust — natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen die langs de kustlijn opborrelen en al sinds de oudheid gewaardeerd worden om hun herstellende eigenschappen. Het omliggende platteland nodigt uit tot ontspannen wandelingen door olijfgaarden en langs kustpaden, terwijl het dorp zelf een glimp biedt van de tragere ritmes van het traditionele eilandleven. Voor reizigers die Lesbos willen ervaren buiten de drukkere vakantiegebieden, biedt Mont D' Olives een ideale uitvalsbasis. De ligging van de villa vlak bij Efthalou plaatst gasten op comfortabele afstand van Molyvos, een van de meest pittoreske middeleeuwse stadjes op het eiland, met zijn Byzantijnse kasteel, geplaveide straatjes en taverna's aan het water. Wat u kunt verwachten
Hier valt u al snel in het rustige ritme van het noorden — ochtendlicht door de zilvergrijze bladeren van eeuwenoude olijfbomen, en de warmwaterbronnen van Efthalou op loopafstand langs de kust. Gasten wisselen doorgaans een bezoek aan de natuurlijke thermale bronnen af met een uitstapje naar Molyvos, het middeleeuwse stadje met zijn Byzantijnse burcht op een paar minuten rijden. Het is een verblijf voor echte rust, ver van de drukkere badplaatsen.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Laat voorjaar tot vroeg najaar is het prettigst; de warmwaterbronnen zijn het hele jaar door te bezoeken, maar in juli en augustus kan de hitte aanzienlijk zijn en is het rond Molyvos drukker.
Hoe er te komen
Vanuit Mytilini rijdt u de kustweg naar het noorden richting Molyvos — reken op ongeveer een uur tot anderhalf uur. Efthalou ligt vlak voorbij Molyvos aan de noordkust.

We went as a family of 18 people to Molivos in the island of Lesvos from Canada. Our trip getting there was admittedly long but so worthwhile. We were received in the airport by an organized transfer and were driven to Molivos. The village is mesmerizing and the owner and staff of Mont d’Olives were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and professional. The accommodation was excellent, clean, modern, efficient, private and the view and setting of the villas were magnificent. The villas are situated on a hill surrounded by pastures with the view of the ocean. This place was top notch one of the nicest holidays we have had.

Everything was beautiful: the villa, the view, the surroundings. The owner was friendly and the accommodation was incredibly clean; a cleaning lady came every day. It's a truly beautiful and peaceful island. The people are incredibly friendly, with charming towns and beautiful, quiet beaches. We had a wonderful time.

Super villas with all you need to relax. Villas are well organized with fantastic views and private pool. Very good place to relax and hear the birds singing while drinking a glass of wine. Bravo to the owners who make their best and put efforts to make you happy.
