Ocean View Studios biedt zelfverzorgde accommodatie in de rustige kustomgeving van Agios Isidoros, een klein, ongehaast dorp aan de zuidkust van Lesbos. Het dorp zelf is een plek waar de ritmes van het Griekse eilandleven grotendeels onaangetast zijn gebleven door het massatoerisme: een zacht kiezelstrand, helder Egeïsch water en een handvol tavernes waar vers gevangen vis en lokale mezedes worden geserveerd. De studio's in dit gebied bieden gasten doorgaans de onafhankelijkheid van een eigen kitchenette en woonruimte, wat ze een praktische en comfortabele uitvalsbasis maakt voor het verkennen van dit minder bezochte deel van het eiland.
Vanuit een verblijf hier zijn bezoekers uitstekend geplaatst om het rustiger, ingetogener gezicht van Lesbos te ontdekken. Het omringende landschap bestaat uit een mix van olijfgaarden en met pijnbomen begroeide hellingen die zachtjes naar de zee aflopen, en het licht in de late namiddag neemt die bijzondere gouden kwaliteit aan waarvoor de zuidelijke Egeïsche Zee bekend staat. Het uitzicht over het water waaraan de studio's hun naam ontlenen, is op zichzelf al een reden om te blijven, of het nu bij een ochtendkoffie op het balkon is of in de schemering wanneer de zon naar de horizon daalt.
Voor reizigers die op zoek zijn naar een alternatief voor de drukkere badplaatsen verderop aan de kust, vertegenwoordigt Ocean View Studios het soort ingetogen, eerlijke accommodatie dat past bij degenen die naar Lesbos komen voor het landschap, het eten en de authenticiteit — niet voor het nachtleven. Agios Isidoros is een dorp dat slow travel beloont, en een zelfstandige studio hier hebben betekent dat u zich op natuurlijke wijze in dat tempo kunt nestelen: boodschappen doen op lokale markten, op uw gemak zwemmen en nabijgelegen dorpen en het platteland op uw eigen ritme verkennen.

Wat u kunt verwachten
Verblijven hier voelt aangenaam ongehaast aan — u wordt wakker met het licht van de Egeïsche Zee, loopt naar een klein kiezelstrand voor een ochtendduik en keert terug naar uw eigen kitchenette om te lunchen met verse marktaankopen. De omliggende olijfgaarden en dennenbossen geven het dorp een authentieke, beschutte sfeer die de drukkere badplaatsen verderop aan de kust allang zijn kwijtgeraakt.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Eind mei tot september is het zwemseizoen; juli en augustus kunnen erg warm zijn, maar de vroege ochtend en avond zijn dan op hun best.
Hoe er te komen
Agios Isidoros ligt ongeveer 21 km ten zuiden van Mytilene en is in circa 30 minuten per auto te bereiken via de kustweg. Openbaar vervoer is beperkt, dus een huurauto of taxi is het meest praktisch.

Everything was wonderful, especially the hotel owners Irene and Ralph — they were amazing hosts. Many thanks again for their kind gift as well. The rooms were spotless and everything was sparkling clean. As long as you follow their advice regarding parking, you won’t have any problems. If we ever come back to Lesvos, this will definitely be the only place we’d want to stay again 🙏

Amazing location right in front of the beach. 2 min walk to a coffee shop, convenience store and gym. 20 min walk to the centre of Plomari. The rooftop is a great addition for enjoying a morning coffee or sunset drink. The apartments are modern and very clean. Hosts are fantastic , helpful and respond quickly to anything you need. Had a great stay and would highly recommend!!

Staying here was an incredible experience! From the moment I arrived, the hosts made me feel so welcome and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed! The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a cozy and relaxing vibe. I especially loved the thoughtful little touches that made the space feel extra special👌🏼 The location was great, and their recommendations for local spots were so helpful—I got to experience some hidden gems I wouldn’t have found on my own. A wonderful experience during our stay with all my family and friends. My perfect vacation with many wedding venues on the island. The upmarket suites were well maintained with all the necessary amenities and helpful staff and management. . We had leasure time on the deck on top of the apartments and listened to the beetles singing and the water breaking on the shore at sunsets. The shops, bars and restaurants was welcomed and a walk away from our apartment. The beaches provided free deck chairs and umbrellas against the middeterranian sunshine that warmed our day. Cant wait to book OVS on my next vacation to Lesvos Island.
