Plomari staat zelf bekend als de thuisbasis van Ouzo Barbayiannis, een van de meest gerenommeerde ouzostokerijen van Griekenland. Hier verblijven betekent volop genieten van een stad met een echte lokale ziel, levendige waterkanttaverna's en een ontspannen tempo dat ver verwijderd is van de drukkere badplaatsen elders op het eiland.

De zuidkust rond Plomari beloont wie de moeite neemt te verkennen: kiezelbaaitjes, kristalhelder water en het schilderachtige vissersgehucht Agios Isidoros, op slechts een korte rit afstand. Wat u kunt verwachten
De appartementen liggen temidden van eeuwenoude olijfgaarden aan de rand van Plomari, een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor zelfstandige reizigers die het zuiden van Lesbos willen verkennen. U kunt naar de haven lopen voor verse vis, de Barbayiannis-distilleerderij bezoeken of in enkele minuten rijden de kiezelstranden bij Agios Isidoros bereiken. 's Avonds op het terras genieten terwijl het licht over de heuvels vervaagt is een van de stille genoegens van dit verblijf.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Eind mei tot september is ideaal; juli en augustus zijn de warmste en drukste maanden in Plomari.
Hoe er te komen
Plomari ligt op ongeveer 40 minuten rijden van Mytilini langs de zuidkustweg — een schilderachtige en goed bewegwijzerde route.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay at the hotel as our reservation was cancelled, but they kindly arranged another accommodation for us and even offered a complimentary breakfast to make up for it. The property and the view are stunning, the breakfast was outstanding, and a special thanks goes to Eirini for her warm hospitality and kindness🩵

We have had the pleasure of staying for a week at this incredibly lovely hotel / apartment. The place is run by the sweetest family who are committed, sweet and warm-hearted people. Our expectations were met, and more. The apartment was nice, clean and with a fabulous view of the most beautiful sea. And access to the beach, just down the stairs. The private balcony with its own jacuzzi provided a setting for peace and relaxation. Breakfast is also an exquisite pleasure that you should not cheat yourself of. Here was everything you needed to have a relaxing holiday with an authentic Greek feeling without the feeling of being at a resort with many tourists. Recommended as a wonderful get away for adults without children. We have fallen in love with this place and with Plomari.

We had a fantastic stay at the Olive Green Apartments in Plomari! The room was spacious, very clean, and featured a large terrace that was absolutely perfect—especially since we were traveling with a baby. The terrace gave us plenty of space to relax while our little one could safely enjoy the fresh air in the shadow. The location is also ideal—just a short 5-minute walk to the charming inner city, where you can find great food and a lovely local atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming and we highly recommend this place for families or anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in Plomari!

This place has a lot going for it. Firstly, it is next to the beach. You can see the water from your balcony, or hot tub, depending on your preference. It's a short walk to the town centre of Plomari. There is a well equipped kitchenette and a decent sized main bedroom. The other two beds are in the living room so the rest of your visitors will have to make do. The staff were amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We were here for breakfast and it was soo good💙First of all it was huge and very delicious🍳🥞☕️The terrace view where we sat was amazing. The owners were very kind and helpfull. They also make their own organic extra virgin olive oil named as Eirini Plomariou which you can buy there to take home. Highly recommended🤗I think staying here would also be a nice experience.

A hotel built on a hillside in a beautiful part of Plomari. Before an endless sea view and a comfortable room, you are greeted by Maria's hospitality and guidance. We thank her very much. Even just for the beach and this hotel, we would come back to Plomari again.

Two wonderful weeks in an elegant appartment with great seaview. Nice hosts and very tasty breakfast. Close to small beach, two good tavernas and city centre, in authentic Plomari! It’s like paradise on earth! 💗
