This place has the best meatballs I ever tasted. The prices are fair, unlike the tourist traps in many other spots. The music is great for rock fans. And the hidden beach is one of the island's finest, with no crowds, plenty of shade, a shower and a changing room.

Arroccato all'estremità occidentale di Lesbo, The End Beach Bar è all'altezza del suo nome evocativo — qui è più o meno dove finisce la strada sull'isola, e arrivare qui sembra di raggiungere una ricompensa dopo il lungo tragitto tortuoso tra colline vulcaniche e uliveti fino al villaggio di Sigri. Con l'ampio Mar Egeo che si estende ininterrotto verso l'orizzonte e la costa frastagliata di uno degli angoli più remoti della Grecia a fare da sfondo, il solo ambiente rende questo bar degno di essere cercato. Sigri stessa è un luogo tranquillamente affascinante, un piccolo villaggio di pescatori che si muove secondo il proprio ritmo lento, e The End cattura perfettamente quello spirito. I visitatori possono accomodarsi con una bevanda fredda — birre locali, liquori greci o un cocktail rinfrescante — e lasciare semplicemente che il pomeriggio si dissolva nel suono delle onde e nella brezza salmastra. La posizione del bar vicino alla spiaggia lo rende un punto di ritrovo naturale per nuotatori, velisti e viaggiatori on the road che hanno compiuto il pellegrinaggio verso questo angolo meno visitato di Lesbo. Mentre il sole scende verso l'acqua nel tardo pomeriggio, l'esposizione a ovest regala alcuni dei tramonti più spettacolari dell'isola, dipingendo il cielo di colori che appaiono quasi teatrali contro la sagoma scura delle colline della foresta pietrificata vicina. Che vi fermiate per una sola Mythos ghiacciata dopo un pomeriggio trascorso a esplorare il vicino Museo di Storia Naturale di Sigri della Foresta Pietrificata di Lesbo, o che vi tratteniate fino a sera inoltrata a guardare le stelle emergere sull'Egeo, The End Beach Bar offre qualcosa di sempre più raro nel Mediterraneo: un luogo autenticamente lento, senza pretese, ai confini del mondo dove il tempo rallenta e il panorama parla da sé.

Cosa aspettarsi
Si accomodi su una sedia scolorita dal sole con una bibita fresca in mano e lasci che il vasto Mar Egeo faccia il suo effetto — questo è un posto dove si arriva, ci si toglie i sandali e si finisce per restare molto più a lungo del previsto. L'esposizione a ovest trasforma il bar in un palco di prima fila per alcuni dei tramonti più spettacolari di Lesbo, richiamando nuotatori e viaggiatori che hanno percorso tutta la strada fino a Sigri esattamente per questo momento.
Periodo migliore
Da giugno a settembre per nuotare e godere dei tramonti; una visita in un giorno feriale a luglio o agosto evita di trovare il piccolo parcheggio già occupato.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene, si segue la strada principale che attraversa l'isola verso ovest in direzione di Sigri — si calcoli circa 1,5-2 ore a seconda delle soste. Il bar si trova all'estremità costiera del villaggio, a pochi passi dalla spiaggia.

I’m not one to make quick judgments or leave harsh reviews for places, but this one unfortunately warrants it. I'm genuinely puzzled as to how this place managed to receive an average rating of 4.7 stars from around fifty reviews. This spot appears to be a gathering place for campers from the surrounding area, and they seem content with it, likely because it’s the only option nearby offering food, some shade, and a toilet—though the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. There are several areas that need significant improvement: 1, All the chairs were covered in dust. We had to clean them ourselves. 2, The inside of this small café was filthy. They had sticky fly traps hanging from the lamps, which seemed effective given the number of dead flies stuck to them. However, the traps were old and clearly hadn’t been changed in a while. 3, There was no proper staff. We interacted with three different people, assuming they were responsible, only to find out they were other customers trying to help out. 4, We ordered meatballs, salad, fries, and sardines (as these were the only items on the menu). A limited menu is fine, but the presentation was dreadful and nothing like the photos in previous reviews. 5, When it came time to pay, the owner or responsible person was nowhere to be found. They never showed up, possibly due to illness or needing to step out briefly. Another customer ended up assisting with the payment, but she didn’t have a price list. She only knew the price of the meatballs (8 Euros), which consisted of just eight small pieces.

We were positively surprised by the quality of the light lunch and coffee we had here! Amazingly tasty! The place is a cool alternative place under the trees by the splendid beach. Very relaxing atmosphere, great music and service. Highly recommended!

In fact there are old and dirty chairs and i don’t like this kind of things.But this place has a different spirit,like a magical place.The beach and sea is awesome.We enjoyed our whole day on these dirty chairs.Get a lemonade (the lady makes it very well) or cold beer and let’s chill:))
