Great place for family, or friend groups. Brand new. 5 minutes walk to the sea. And 6 minutes to Mytilini by car. You have everything you need in the room. Landlady Gelina is very kind and helpful.
The rooms are very comfortable and impressively decorated .The external spaces are both beautifully designed and functional. The pool is fantastic ... perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend it!!!

Elies Residences ontleent zijn naam aan het Griekse woord voor olijven, een passend eerbetoon aan de eeuwenoude olijfgaarden die het landschap van Lesbos al millennia lang hebben gevormd. Verscholen nabij het rustige dorpje Pligoni, in het weelderige binnenland van het eiland, ligt deze accommodatie in een streek waar de olijventeelt al sinds de oudheid een levenswijze is, en waar de zilvergroene glinstering van de bomen het glooiende landschap in alle richtingen bepaalt. De omgeving biedt gasten een indringende kennismaking met het landelijke Lesbos, ver van de drukte van de kustresortes, maar toch gemakkelijk bereikbaar voor de vele natuur- en cultuurschatten van het eiland.
Als verblijf in residentiële stijl biedt Elies een ongehaast en intiem verblijf, bij uitstek geschikt voor reizigers die echt willen opgaan in het ritme van het eilandleven in plaats van er slechts doorheen te trekken. De sfeer is er een van ingetogen comfort, geworteld in de lokale omgeving, waar het tempo vertraagt en de genoegens eenvoudig zijn: de geur van kruiden op de bries, het geluid van krekels in de middaghitte, het lange gouden licht van een avond op Lesbos. Gasten kunnen het verblijf gebruiken als uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van de vulkanische landschappen van het Versteende Woud in het westen, de historische stad Mytilene in het zuiden, of de therapeutische thermale bronnen die verspreid over het eiland liggen.

Wat u kunt verwachten
Verblijven bij Elies Residences voelt minder als een hotel en meer als logeren in het buitenhuis van een vriend, omgeven door zilverkleurige olijfbomen in elke richting. 's Ochtends drijven vogelgezang en de geur van wilde kruiden naar binnen; 's avonds daalt een stilte neer die u aan de kust zelden vindt. De meeste gasten gebruiken het als rustige uitvalsbasis voor dagtrips naar Mytilini of het Versteend Woud.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Eind mei tot oktober is ideaal — mei-juni en september bieden aangenamer weer en beduidend minder drukte dan het hoogseizoen in juli en augustus.
Hoe er te komen
Pligoni ligt op korte rijafstand van Mytilini — reken op ongeveer tien tot vijftien minuten rijden richting het noorden, het met olijfgaarden bedekte binnenland in.

Wow, this place really exceeded all expectations. After taking a ferry ride from Ayvalik, we were just looking for a getaway close to nature. The beauty of the hotel, the beautiful design of the rooms and the hotel, the pool area, the private balcony for each room, the cleanliness, made us feel the warmth and genuine beauty of the island. It was so great to stay that we had a hard time leaving our hotel to explore the island. Most importantly, Ioannis at guest relations, was amazing. He was genuine, caring and never skipped any of our Whatsapp messages, despite the time or the amount of them we sent for such a short stay! After realizing we had forgot to send our breakfast selection, we sent a message of a picture of the breakfast sheet filled out late at night and woke up to the breakfast the next morning. That is hospitality. Ioannis's care trulyt mirrors the beauty and care for this hotel. Thank you to all and the Elies team. Will see you all soon!

We stayed 3 nights for our honeymoon and it was on the top of the list of best stays experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and helpful. They also made us surprised by serving wine for the last night. Very modern, clean and high quality residences. Charming pool and great atmosphere. Definitely a must stay if you are looking for a good time.

Attention to detail in this accommodation is stunning. We have travelled to many Greek islands and stayed at many different accommodations. We are used to most Greek accommodations -within a reasonable price range for family holidays- not having high level finishing standards (think: sanitary facilities, bedding, kitchen, overall clean, pool, garden, air conditioning, Wifi, lighting etc.). Elies was a big pleasant surprise to us. They show that it is possible to enjoy a high standard finished accommodation within a reasonable price range (hope they will try to keep it within this price range). Another example of their attention to detail, was the included breakfast. This was a big surprise to us as we did not expect this. The chef and manager Johannes did their best everyday to provide us with a wonderful breakfast experience at the pool terrace. Also, a special mention for all personnel. Owner Jannis managed to assemble a great team of wonderful people (Christina, Sophia, Johannes, the chef and the two cleaning ladies) that go far to make sure your stay is pleasant. Thank you again! I recently stayed 5 nights at Elies Residences. Evelina & Gianis always met me with a warm smile and a happy greeting. The Villa I had was very clean, with a kitchenette that I didn’t really use except for sandwich making. The shower had plenty of hot water, even for long showers. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
