This place is definitely one of our favourites in lovely Molyvos. It is a cozy and local restaurant with delicious dishes. There are not so many tables inside, so making reservation is recommended. Staff is very kind and friendly.
I definitely recommend for dinner. I think it's a family business. The food is delicious and the view is magnificent. A place where local people come often. Prices are affordable.

Verscholen in de weelderige heuvels nabij Stypsi, een van de meest authentiek bewaarde binnenlanddorpen van Lesbos, is Oikotechnia A.O.- Gevseis Paradosis een ware schat voor bezoekers die op zoek zijn naar een echte smaak van het ambachtelijke erfgoed van het eiland. De naam zegt het al: oikotechnia verwijst naar traditioneel huisambacht en kleine huisnijverheid, terwijl gevseis paradosis warmhartig vertaald kan worden als 'smaken van de traditie'. Samen verwijzen ze naar een plek die zich heeft gewijd aan het levend houden van de eeuwenoude vaardigheden en smaken die het plattelandsleven op Lesbos al generaties lang kenmerken.
Hier vindt u lokaal gemaakte producten die geworteld zijn in de agrarische en culinaire tradities van het binnenland — goederen die zelden hun weg vinden naar supermarktschappen, maar die families en gemeenschappen al eeuwenlang hebben gevoed. Denk aan handgemaakte conserven, ambachtelijke kazen, olijfproducten en andere lekkernijen, bereid met de zorg en kennis die van generatie op generatie worden doorgegeven in de huishoudens van Lesbos. Het coöperatieve of verenigingsmodel achter dit bedrijf weerspiegelt een bredere betrokkenheid bij de ondersteuning van lokale producenten en het in stand houden van het economische weefsel van dorpen als Stypsi.
Voor de nieuwsgierige reiziger die door het naar dennenhout geurende landschap van het noorden van Lesbos rijdt, biedt een stop hier veel meer dan gewoon winkelen. Het is een uitnodiging om de pas te vertragen en in contact te komen met de levende cultuur van het eiland — om te proeven, vragen te stellen en te vertrekken met iets wat werkelijk op Lesbos gemaakt is, in plaats van een massaproduct. Wat u kunt verwachten
Een kleine coöperatieve winkel waar u zelfgemaakte jam, ambachtelijke kazen en olijfproducten kunt proeven en kopen van gezinnen uit de omgeving van Stypsi. De sfeer is oprecht ontspannen — het personeel kan u dikwijls vertellen van welke boerderij een bepaalde pot of kaas afkomstig is.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Van de lente tot het vroege najaar is het aangenaamst; in de zomer zijn er meer bezoekers, maar de winkel houdt altijd het rustige ritme van het dorp aan.
Hoe er te komen
Vanuit Mytilini rijdt u naar het noorden richting Kalloni en vervolgens naar Stypsi — de rit duurt ongeveer 50 tot 60 minuten over kronkelende heuvelwegen. In het kleine dorpje is de winkel gemakkelijk te vinden.

One of the most authentic places we have eaten at, the view makes you feel like you're experiencing the true colours of Greece, the music combined with the good food and view will make you leave this place happier than before and you'll want to return. The place is run by the nicest old man that gives you happiness from the way he acts and the way he loves working here.

Away from the touristic port and touristic restaurants of the main road, we found this great place. The food was very tasty and clearly felt like home food. The service fast, pleasant and with a friendly personnel. Some tables close to the big windows have great views. Recommended!

Great little family run restaurant serving traditional home cooked food. A few minutes walk away from the busier tourist streets, with a great view over the bay. There were lots of locals eating here which we hadn't seen in other restaurants in Molyvos. We had the four "small" mezze plates as a starter which would probably be enough for dinner if you weren't too hungry! We also had the grilled lamb chops and stuffed tomatoes/peppers which were very tasty. Would recommend this place if you want a relaxed atmosphere with home style cooking. The owners are very friendly and will happily have a chat about Molyvos, Lesbos and more!

The area used to be the main hub of Molivos the old agora, a few closed shops but this old traditional kafenio is the epitomy of how it used to be, fantastic view with the cheapest greek coffee in Molivos 1eu! there is no food served in the winter months, but will definitely be back to try the food and meze in the summer!

Very traditional taverna, old man and his wife. Nothing fancy, guests are mostly tourists, some locals. Food is limited selection of typical taverna menu, but cooked fresh and tasty. Grilled Anchovies and fries and salad and imam especially.

This is not a tacky place geared toward tourists, even the name is only in greek. With no doubt, this is a unique place. This is a typical Greek family tavern where the waiter is the owner and the cook is probably the owners wife. The dishes cost from 5 to 12 euros, at first glance they do not knock the appearance, but they taste insanely. Everything tastes like nowhere else. I recommend this tavern like no other. Food can be ordered from 18:30, earlier you can only have a drink. The tavern has a super view.
