Very beautiful handmade ceramics and jewellery. Such original designs. When we went it was the ancient owner who was there, he’s a very nice and very hospitable man. I would definitely recommend going to this place.

Χωμένο στο γοητευτικό χωριό της Πέτρας, στη βορειοδυτική ακτή της Λέσβου, το Atelier της Νίκης είναι ένα εργαστήριο χειροτεχνίας όπου η τοπική καλλιτεχνία αποκτά απτή, όμορφη μορφή. Το atelier ειδικεύεται σε χειροποίητη κεραμική και κοσμήματα — κάθε κομμάτι πλάθεται και φινιράρεται στο χέρι, στην παράδοση της ελληνικής τέχνης που εκτιμά την ατομική έκφραση περισσότερο από τη μαζική παραγωγή. Το να μπείτε μέσα μοιάζει λιγότερο με είσοδο σε κατάστημα και περισσότερο με επίσκεψη σε ένα ζωντανό δημιουργικό χώρο, όπου τα αντικείμενα που εκτίθενται φέρουν τα σημάδια μιας συνειδητής, επιδέξιας χειρωνακτικής εργασίας.
Οι επισκέπτες του Atelier της Νίκης μπορούν να περιηγηθούν και να αγοράσουν μοναδικά κεραμικά — μπολ, αγγεία, διακοσμητικά — καθώς και χειροποίητα κοσμήματα που αντλούν έμπνευση από τα χρώματα και τις υφές του αιγαιοπελαγίτικου κόσμου που τα περιβάλλει. Το έργο αντικατοπτρίζει μια αισθητική ριζωμένη στο τοπίο: τα βαθιά μπλε της θάλασσας, οι ζεστές γήινες αποχρώσεις του ηφαιστειογενούς εδάφους του νησιού, οι οργανικές φόρμες που συναντά κανείς κατά μήκος της ακτογραμμής του. Είτε αναζητάτε ένα ουσιαστικό αναμνηστικό είτε ένα αληθινά φορέσιμο έργο τέχνης, το atelier προσφέρει κάτι που ένα chain store απλώς δεν μπορεί.
Η Πέτρα είναι ένα από τα πιο επισκέψιμα χωριά της Λέσβου, με ορόσημο τον εντυπωσιακό βράχο που στέφεται από την Εκκλησία της Γλυκοφιλούσας, και το Atelier της Νίκης εντάσσεται φυσικά στην ατμόσφαιρα ανέμελης ανακάλυψης που χαρακτηρίζει το χωριό. Για τους ταξιδιώτες που εκτιμούν την αυθεντική τοπική χειροτεχνία και θέλουν να φέρουν σπίτι κάτι φτιαγμένο με πραγματική φροντίδα και δεξιοτεχνία, αυτό το atelier αξίζει ανεπιφύλακτα την επίσκεψή σας σε οποιαδήποτε εκδρομή στην περιοχή.

Η επίσκεψη στο Ατελιέ της Νίκης μοιάζει περισσότερο με είσοδο σε εργαστήριο δημιουργίας παρά σε κατάστημα αναμνηστικών — τα κεραμικά και τα κοσμήματα είναι τοποθετημένα με προσοχή, και σε κάθε κομμάτι διακρίνετε το χέρι που το έπλασε. Μπορεί να σταθείτε μπροστά σε ένα μπολ που το γυάλισμά του θυμίζει τα μπλε του Αιγαίου, ή σε ένα κόσμημα που έχει πάρει τις καμπύλες της κοντινής ηφαιστειογενούς ακτογραμμής.
Καλύτερη εποχή
Λειτουργεί κατά την τουριστική περίοδο από την άνοιξη έως το φθινόπωρο· για μια πιο ήσυχη επίσκεψη, προτιμήστε τέλη Μαΐου, Ιούνιο ή Σεπτέμβριο.
Πώς θα φτάσετε
Από τη Μυτιλήνη, ακολουθήστε τη βόρεια παράκτια οδό προς την Πέτρα — η διαδρομή διαρκεί περίπου 50 με 55 λεπτά. Το ατελιέ βρίσκεται στο κέντρο του χωριού, σε κοντινή απόσταση με τα πόδια από τον περίφημο βράχο με την εκκλησία στην κορυφή.

A lovely welcome from Niki. I bought a lovely celtic necklace and a gorgeous ceramic face for our back garden wall in the UK to brighten up the winter. Could have bought more !! Lovely to meet Niki, she was very sweet.

Beautiful pottery for home and garden Also jewelry, including gold plated, but be careful, fingers still looked green. However, the lady said that this was not possible even though she could see it in her mind. The ring we bought with zirconia as a gift for a good friend lost the stone after 2 days. Very embarrassing and can't go back. We feel cheated.

Beautiful items, but the lady's friendliness leaves room for improvement. The elderly owner who occasionally works in the shop could serve as a good example.
