Very beautiful handmade ceramics and jewellery. Such original designs. When we went it was the ancient owner who was there, he’s a very nice and very hospitable man. I would definitely recommend going to this place.

Midilli'nin kuzeybatı kıyısındaki sevimli Petra köyüne sığınan Niki's Atelier, yerel ustalığın elle tutulur ve güzel bir biçim aldığı bir el sanatları atölyesidir. Atölye, seri üretim yerine bireysel ifadeye değer veren Yunan zanaatkârlık geleneğinde her biri elle şekillendirilip bitirilen el yapımı seramikler ve takılar konusunda uzmanlaşmıştır. İçeri adım atmak, bir mağazaya girmekten çok, sergilenen nesnelerin bilinçli ve usta bir yapımın izlerini taşıdığı, çalışan bir yaratıcı mekânı ziyaret etmeye benzer.
Niki's Atelier'i ziyaret edenler, kaseler, kaplar ve dekoratif parçalar gibi eşsiz seramiklere göz atıp satın alabilir; aynı zamanda çevrelerindeki Ege dünyasının renk ve dokularından ilham alan el yapımı taklara da göz atabilirler. Eserler, bu coğrafyaya kök salmış bir duyarlılığı yansıtır: denizin koyu mavilerini, adanın volkanik toprağının sıcak toprak tonlarını ve kıyı şeridinde bulunan organik formları. İster anlamlı bir hatıra arıyor olun ister gerçekten giyilebilir bir sanat eseri, atölye zincir mağazaların sunamayacağı bir şey sunmaktadır.
Petra, Tatlı Öpücüklü Bakire Kilisesi'nin tepesinde yükseldiği çarpıcı kaya oluşumuyla Midilli'nin en çok ziyaret edilen köylerinden biridir ve Niki's Atelier, köyün aceleci olmayan keşif atmosferine doğal bir şekilde uyum sağlar. Özgün yerel el sanatlarına değer veren ve eve gerçek bir özen ve beceriyle yapılmış bir şey götürmek isteyen gezginler için bu atölye, bölgeye yapılacak her ziyarette mutlaka uğranılmaya değer bir yerdir.

Niki'nin Atölyesini gezmek, bir hediyelik eşya dükkanına girmek yerine çalışan bir yaratıcı stüdyoya adım atmak gibi hissettiriyor — seramikler ve takılar özenle sergilenmiş, her parçada onu şekillendiren elin izi açıkça görülüyor. Sırları Ege'nin mavilerini çağrıştıran bir kap ya da yakın çevrenin volkanik kıyı hattından ilham almış bir takı sizi duraksatabilir.

Atölye ilkbahardan sonbahara kadar açık; Petra Temmuz ve Ağustos'ta kalabalık olduğundan Mayıs sonu, Haziran veya Eylül daha sakin bir ziyaret için idealdir.
Nasıl gidilir
Midilli'den kuzey sahil yolunu takip ederek Petra'ya ulaşabilirsiniz; yolculuk yaklaşık 50-55 dakika sürer. Atölye, köyün merkezinde, tepeye kurulu kilisesiyle ünlü kayalığa yürüme mesafesindedir.

A lovely welcome from Niki. I bought a lovely celtic necklace and a gorgeous ceramic face for our back garden wall in the UK to brighten up the winter. Could have bought more !! Lovely to meet Niki, she was very sweet.

Beautiful pottery for home and garden Also jewelry, including gold plated, but be careful, fingers still looked green. However, the lady said that this was not possible even though she could see it in her mind. The ring we bought with zirconia as a gift for a good friend lost the stone after 2 days. Very embarrassing and can't go back. We feel cheated.

Beautiful items, but the lady's friendliness leaves room for improvement. The elderly owner who occasionally works in the shop could serve as a good example.
