Balouchanas est un restaurant de poisson situé à Perama, un paisible village côtier niché sur la rive sud du golfe de Kalloni. Le golfe lui-même compte parmi les zones de pêche les plus productives de la mer Égée, réputé avant tout pour ses fameuses sardines de Kalloni, un produit si prisé qu'il bénéficie d'une appellation d'origine protégée. Une taverne dans ce cadre tire son identité directement de la mer, proposant des fruits de mer simplement préparés, d'une fraîcheur incomparable, tels qu'on les savoure dans la meilleure cuisine côtière grecque.
Les convives peuvent s'attendre à une carte axée sur les prises du jour, avec du poisson grillé, des calamars frits et des mezze de fruits de mer locaux, sans oublier les incontournables sardines de Kalloni, que l'on déguste idéalement légèrement salées ou grillées au charbon de bois, selon la tradition. À quoi s'attendre
Chez Balouchanas, les tables donnent sur les eaux tranquilles du golfe de Kalloni, d'où provient chaque matin la pêche qui garnit les assiettes. La cuisine reste fidèle à la mer : poissons grillés ou frits simplement, calamars et les fameuses sardines de Kalloni légèrement salées ou grillées au charbon de bois. Le rythme posé de Perama transforme le repas en une vraie halte au bord de l'eau.
Quand y aller
De fin avril à septembre offre les meilleures conditions ; le cœur de l'été est chaud mais la brise du golfe rend l'atmosphère agréable.
Comment s'y rendre
Perama se trouve à environ 15 minutes de Mytilène en voiture, en longeant la route côtière vers l'ouest le long du golfe de Kalloni. C'est une étape naturelle si vous vous dirigez vers la ville de Kalloni ou vers l'intérieur de l'île.

It's cozy here, with a beautiful view of the Bay of Gera. The food is good, but sometimes the food wasn't really warm (this could also be because it was very busy due to a public holiday, hence the 4 stars). If you're in the area, you'll definitely eat there at least once, even if you drive there specifically to eat there (which we did this time, but I wouldn't do it again).

Everything we ate was below average. Calamari was burnt and pricier at the bill than their menu. Even Greek Salad was tasteless, not recommended!

Very friendly family run fish taverna that offers delicious food! Everything we had was excellent, the highlights were the fava with sweet caramelized onion, the very tender fried sepia and the tiganitelia (a bit similar to zucchini balls but also containing zucchini flowers). Also beautiful location and very appealing interior design with lots of driftwood and plants. Very fair prices! Definitely recommended if you happen to visit Perama.

This is an inexpensive tavern in the village of Perama in Lesvos. The food is mostly from the sea, but there are some interesting meat dishes like meatballs. The cuisine is local with fresh ingredients. The location is fantastic, right by the sea On the minus side: today, there was a group of tourists, place was packed and service was extremely slow. Clearly, it's understaffed. We had to wait for our lunch for 45 minutes. Maybe it was a coincidence and it happened only once, but it costs the place one star..

Nice little place at the harbour with full panoramic view of the bay. Good prices and more than enough to choose from. They offer lots of fish but also meat. The baclava was especially tasteful.
