Located in the Molyvos market, this shop offers wonderful creations by a master ceramic artist. Every time I go to Molyvos, I buy different pieces and take them home with me :) They're very tasteful and very talented 👍🏼✨ I highly recommend visiting! ☺️

Laboratorio di ceramica Acqua e Terra a Molyvos, gestito da Sotiris e Vaso, con ceramiche artigianali decorate con splendidi dettagli dipinti a mano che raffigurano scene locali. Lo studio attivo accoglie i visitatori per osservare gli artigiani mentre creano pezzi funzionali e decorativi.
Prima di partire
Cosa aspettarsi
Entrando nell'atelier, troverà probabilmente Sotiris o Vaso al tornio o al banco, mentre sugli scaffali si allineano ceramiche decorate con motivi egei — polpi, rami d'ulivo, scene marine. Può osservare il processo di lavorazione da vicino e scegliere un pezzo unico fatto a mano direttamente dallo studio.
Periodo migliore
Da maggio a ottobre l'atelier è pienamente attivo e Molyvos è nel pieno della stagione turistica.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene si percorre la strada verso nord-ovest passando per Kalloni in direzione di Molyvos — un percorso panoramico di circa 50-60 minuti. L'atelier si trova nel villaggio stesso, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi dopo aver parcheggiato.

I found the place quite randomly but was surprised by the painting details on the ceramics. Sotiris definitely has a unique talent - you'll find many scenes depicting Molivos, all in great detail! When I visited the workshop, Sotiris' wife, Vaso, was there. She gave me a tour of their workshop, talked about their work and was very friendly. Even suggested other ceramists I should visit on the island (as I'm an amateur ceramist myself).
