Located in the Molyvos market, this shop offers wonderful creations by a master ceramic artist. Every time I go to Molyvos, I buy different pieces and take them home with me :) They're very tasteful and very talented 👍🏼✨ I highly recommend visiting! ☺️

Pottenbakkerij Water en Aarde in Molyvos, gerund door Sotiris en Vaso, met handgemaakte keramiek versierd met prachtige met de hand geschilderde details van lokale taferelen. De werkende studio verwelkomt bezoekers om ambachtslieden te observeren die functionele en decoratieve stukken creëren.

Wat u kunt verwachten
Als u het atelier binnenstapt, treft u waarschijnlijk Sotiris of Vaso aan die aan het draaien of schilderen zijn, terwijl de schappen vol staan met keramiek versierd met Egeïsche motieven — inktvissen, olijftakken en zeegezichten. U kunt het creatieproces van nabij volgen en een uniek handgemaakt stuk rechtstreeks uit het atelier meenemen.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Van mei tot oktober is het atelier volop in bedrijf en bruist Molyvos van de toeristische activiteit.
Hoe er te komen
Vanuit Mytilini rijdt u noordwestwaarts via Kalloni naar Molyvos — een schilderachtige rit van ongeveer 50 tot 60 minuten. Het atelier bevindt zich in het dorp zelf en is gemakkelijk te voet te bereiken na het parkeren.

I found the place quite randomly but was surprised by the painting details on the ceramics. Sotiris definitely has a unique talent - you'll find many scenes depicting Molivos, all in great detail! When I visited the workshop, Sotiris' wife, Vaso, was there. She gave me a tour of their workshop, talked about their work and was very friendly. Even suggested other ceramists I should visit on the island (as I'm an amateur ceramist myself).
