Gelegen in de glooiende heuvels boven de middeleeuwse kasteelstad Molivos, biedt Molivos Hills Apartments zelfstandige verblijven met keuken in een van de meest schilderachtige uithoeken van het noorden van Lesbos. Het complex bevindt zich op korte afstand van Vafeios, een rustig traditioneel dorp verscholen tussen olijfgaarden en dennenbeboste hellingen, waardoor gasten zich bevinden op het snijpunt van authentiek eilandleven en het indrukwekkende kustlandschap dat dit deel van Lesbos tot een favoriet heeft gemaakt bij kieskeurige reizigers. Vanaf dit verheven uitkijkpunt reikt het uitzicht over terracottakleurige daken, de glinsterende Egeïsche Zee, en bij helder weer tot aan de verre contouren van de Turkse kust.
Verblijven in een appartement in plaats van een hotel biedt een bijzondere vrijheid die goed past bij het ritme van Lesbos. Gasten kunnen zich inslaan met lokale olijfolie, verse streekproducten en de karakteristieke ouzo van het eiland bij nabijgelegen markten, om daarna het ongedwongen tempo van het dorpsleven te omarmen tussen de uitstapjes door. De iconische geplaveide straatjes en Ottomaanse stenen huizen van Molivos liggen op slechts een korte rit, evenals de keienstranden en warmwaterbronnen die dit hoekje van het eiland doorkruisen. Wat u kunt verwachten
Het ochtendlicht op het terras onthult de Egeïsche Zee en de beboste hellingen — een aanblik die het ontbijt aangenaam doet uitlopen. Als zelfverzorgend appartement bepaalt u zelf het tempo: een dorpsmarkt, een rit naar een kiezelbaai, een wandeling door de Ottomaanse straten van Molivos, en dan terug voor een stille avond op de heuvels. Vafeios is een oprecht rustig dorp, buiten de gebruikelijke toeristische routes.
Beste tijd om te gaan
Eind mei tot september voor warmte en zwemmen; juni en begin oktober bieden de aangenaamste temperaturen met aanzienlijk minder drukte.
Hoe er te komen
Vanuit Mytilini rijdt u noordwaarts via de hoofdweg richting Molivos — reken op een rit van ongeveer één tot anderhalf uur. Vafeios ligt net landinwaarts van de kustweg, vlak bij Molivos.

Our family (two kids, ages 8 & 5) spent the past 18 days at this wonderful place. Giorgos has created a beautiful place with lush greenery, a lovely pool, and apartments that offer everything you need. Every few days, the apartment is thoroughly cleaned, and towels and bed linens are changed. It's also great that all rooms have air conditioning. Our kids had a wonderful time in the pool and the garden. The resident cats quickly became friends. A car is essential, as it's a perfect base for fun day trips. All the basic necessities, such as a bakery, butcher, and supermarkets, are just a few minutes away. The evenings are wonderful to spend in Molyvos, also just a few minutes' drive away. We highly recommend Molyvos Hills!

Excellent accommodation ... which is fully equipped .... kettle - toaster - toaster - full household appliances ... regular-sized refrigerator, washing machine and dishwasher .... it really had much more than I would use on my vacation even though I was traveling with twins. The wifi fully covered professional needs. The owner is kind and fully cooperative!! The ground floor apartments have their own gazebo with lots of coolness. Swimming pool with mini playground next to it The room price could easily be 20-30% higher Very close to Molyvos without the hustle and bustle of the center. I have traveled a lot and this is one of the best value for money rentals I have stayed in. I would comfortably stay again and I highly recommend it ...

Lovely house in a small apartment complex near Molyvos. The house was spacious and meticulously clean, the kitchen fully equipped, it even had a dishwasher (didn't use it) and a washing machine which is super helpful if you travel light as we do! Air-conditioning was a central unit which cooled the place down without drying the air- best sleep I've had in days in the heatwave of July. Peaceful garden with a nice table in the shade for breakfast and chatter in rhw night. Also swimming pool with sunbeds and a small playground which the kids loved! George, the owner, was super helpful with everything we asked. All together, a lovely place, definitely will be visiting again!
