Midilli'nin en sevilen ve kendine özgü dağ yerleşimlerinden biri olan Agiasos köyünün içine sıkışmış olan Sousamli Maria O.E., bu gururla yerel topluluğun ruhunu yansıtan geleneksel bir Yunan fırınıdır. Agiasos, Olimpos Dağı'nın ormanlık eteklerinde yer alır; canlı halk kültürü, karnaval kutlamaları ve eski geleneklere sahip çıkma tutkusuyla tanınır. Böyle bir fırın, nesiller boyunca köy yaşamını ayakta tutan el yapımı ekmekler ve susamlı lezzetleriyle bu dokuya son derece doğal biçimde uyar.
İsmin kendisi bile buraya insanları çekeni ele verir: susamlı, Yunan fırıncılık geleneğinin temel taşı olan susam kaplı ürünlere işaret eder. Ziyaretçiler, köy sınırlarının ötesine nadiren ulaşan türden rustik somun ekmekler, koulouri simitler ve tatlı ya da tuzlu börekler bulabilirler. Agiasos'un dar taş döşeli sokaklarına yayılan o eşsiz aroma, burnunuzun sizi içeri çekmesi için tek başına yeterli bir sebeptir.
Agiasos'tan geçen gezginler için — ister Panagia'nın Bizans kilisesini keşfetmek, ister eski çarşıda dolaşmak, ister kıyı sıcağından kaçıp serin dağ havasına sığınmak için gelin — böyle yerel bir fırına uğramak, deneyimi gündelik Yunan yaşamına bağlar. Agiasos'un taş döşeli sokaklarında yürürken, fırından yayılan taze ekmek ve susam kokusu sizi içeri çekmeden duramıyor. Burada bulacağınız susamlı simitler ve köy ekmeği, hep yapıldığı gibi elle hazırlanmış; sıcacık bir tane alıp dışarıda gölgeli bir basamakta yeniliyor. Kısa bir durak, ama bu dağ köyünün gündelik dokusuna gerçekten dokunduran bir an.
En iyi zaman
İlkbaharden erken sonbahara kadar idealdir; Agiasos ormanlık tepelerde serin kalır ve yaz aylarında kıyı sıcağından iyi bir kaçış noktasıdır.
Nasıl gidilir
Midilli'den Agiasos'a iç kesimlere doğru yaklaşık 30-40 dakikalık bir yolculukla, Olimpos eteklerindeki ormanlık yollardan geçerek ulaşılır. Köy merkezi küçük ve yaya olarak gezilmesi kolaydır.

The woman working with short blonde hair is very rude and the desserts are not tasty, I didn't like this shop 👎

We came here to get some pastries for breakfast. I tried the round ones that looked like turkish simit and they were amazing. Perfect amount of crispy but not dry. My husband tried the börek with feta and said it was ok. Whenever I’m in Greece I try the börek with cream as a sweet treat so I got that one as well but it was a little different then the regular Greek ones; it had syrup so it was a little heavy for my taste. We got the pastries and went to a cafe nearby, ordered our coffies and had breakfast there. I’d recommend doing the same since the bakery didn’t have any tables.

Visited Agiassos today, walked up to the market square, and bought some pastries and biscuits here. What a fantastic bakery with delicious baked products. So much to choose from. Very fresh and tasted delicious. Wish we’d bought more! We had some filo spinach pies, some baked pretzel-like rings .. one was beetroot flavoured with seeds and the other covered in tasty sunflower seeds. Best I’ve ever tasted. We also had some biscuits coated in chocolate at one end. These were delicious too, and not too sweet.

Very good patisserie. There are many alternative products. Also, Garden's is good.
