Hi, I'm John. I built Discover Lesvos.

I'm from Lesvos. My parents were born here, I grew up in the diaspora visiting every summer, and the island has stayed at the centre of my life ever since.

This site is a directory for the whole island — for locals just as much as for tourists. Lesvos is too rich and too varied to fit into a guidebook chapter, so I started cataloguing every village, beach, monastery, taverna and historic site I could find, with descriptions written for people who want to actually understand the place, not just tick it off.

The directory is free, independent, and not sponsored by anyone. It stays that way.
