To Kentron è uno di quei caffè greci dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato: fotografie d'epoca alle pareti, un arredo nostalgico e un'atmosfera da vero kafeneion di quartiere. Si ordina un caffè greco e uno dei dolci fatti in casa, poi ci si accomoda nel giardino sul retro dove si intravede il mare.
Periodo migliore
Dalla tarda primavera all'inizio dell'autunno è il periodo migliore; le serate estive in giardino sono particolarmente piacevoli.
Come arrivare
Sigri si trova all'estremo ovest di Lesbo, a circa un'ora e mezza di guida da Mitilene percorrendo la strada che attraversa l'isola. Il locale è nel centro del piccolo borgo portuale, facile da trovare appena si arriva.

Absolutely loved this traditional kafenio! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, perfect for a relaxing evening. The meze dishes were truly outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A great place to enjoy good food and unwind with friends. Highly recommended!

This small ‘kafe-neo’ (traditional Greek coffee place) is not affected by the passage of time. You travel back to decades back with the pictures and the decoration inside. If the wind is not to strong, you can enjoy a sea view while having your coffee, but don’t worry about the wind! You can enjoy the back garden with the rest if the older men in the village who sit there every morning for a coffee. It’s a beautiful place with a kind owner. We enjoyed a nice breakfast there!

The historical cafe of Sigri! Antonis, the owner, is one of the most loving persons you'll meet during your stay. You can taste local candies and honey. Please ask for hot chocolate in case you are at the village in autumn or winter time. Be certain you'll love the place!
