What to expect
Stepping into To Kentron feels like entering a living archive of Sigri's past — old photographs line the walls and the pace is unhurried, the way a proper Greek kafeneio should be. Order a Greek coffee and one of the homemade desserts, then drift toward the back garden where the sea sits quietly in the distance.
Best time to visit
Late spring through early autumn is ideal; summer evenings in the garden are especially pleasant when the heat softens.
How to get there
Sigri is in the far west of Lesvos, roughly an hour and a half's drive from Mytilene along the trans-island road. To Kentron sits in the village center, easy to spot once you arrive in the small port settlement.

Absolutely loved this traditional kafenio! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, perfect for a relaxing evening. The meze dishes were truly outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A great place to enjoy good food and unwind with friends. Highly recommended!

This small ‘kafe-neo’ (traditional Greek coffee place) is not affected by the passage of time. You travel back to decades back with the pictures and the decoration inside. If the wind is not to strong, you can enjoy a sea view while having your coffee, but don’t worry about the wind! You can enjoy the back garden with the rest if the older men in the village who sit there every morning for a coffee. It’s a beautiful place with a kind owner. We enjoyed a nice breakfast there!

The historical cafe of Sigri! Antonis, the owner, is one of the most loving persons you'll meet during your stay. You can taste local candies and honey. Please ask for hot chocolate in case you are at the village in autumn or winter time. Be certain you'll love the place!
