Lakis Studios offre sistemazioni indipendenti nel tranquillo insediamento balneare di Anaxos, adagiato lungo la costa nord-occidentale di Lesbo, dove l’Egeo incontra una lunga spiaggia sabbiosa. La zona è nota per il suo ritmo rilassato, le acque calme e poco profonde e la vista ininterrotta verso la costa turca e la sagoma della penisola di Troade — un ricordo dello stretto passaggio marittimo che ha definito questo angolo di Mediterraneo per millenni. Gli studios di questo tipo ad Anaxos offrono in genere quel comfort indipendente e familiare che si adatta ai visitatori che vogliono immergersi nella vita dell’isola anziché semplicemente passarvi attraverso.
Soggiornare al Lakis Studios significa avere a portata di mano tutto ciò che Anaxos ha da offrire: la lunga spiaggia sabbiosa fiancheggiata da tamerici, una manciata di taverne che servono pesce fresco e mezedes locali, e quelle mattinate placide che Lesbo sa fare così bene. La parte nord-occidentale dell’isola è anche ben posizionata per escursioni giornaliere alla capitale medievale di Mitilene, alla foresta pietrificata di Sigri e al tradizionale villaggio di Molyvos con il suo castello genovese che domina il porto. Per i viaggiatori che cercano una base tranquilla da cui esplorare una delle isole più gratificanti dell’Egeo, Lakis Studios offre un alloggio onesto e confortevole in un contesto che premia chi rallenta e si ferma un po’.

Cosa aspettarsi
I Lakis Studios si trovano a pochi passi da una lunga spiaggia ombreggiata da tamerici, con acque basse e calme perfette per una nuotata mattutina senza fretta. Il villaggio di Anaxos è piccolo e tranquillo, con alcune taverne raggiungibili a piedi che servono la sera pesce fresco e mezedes locali. La vista sulla costa turca dall'altro lato dello stretto dona al posto un fascino sobrio e inaspettato.
Periodo migliore
Da fine maggio a settembre è la stagione balneare; luglio e agosto sono i mesi più caldi ma anche i più affollati in spiaggia.
Come arrivare
Da Mitilene si guida verso nord-ovest attraverso Kalloni per circa un'ora. Anaxos si trova appena a sud di Petra: seguire le indicazioni per Petra e poi svoltare verso il litorale.

I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to be treated as a room number however if you want great service that makes you feel special this is the place. Lakis is a natural host who will go out of his way to help and does so with a smile. The beach with the usual offering of restaurants is within easy reach as are the restaurants in the other direction on the main road, food in all is very good and a very reasonable price. There are also small food and souvenir shops with the closest selling fantastic local flavoured honey and fridge magnets that were made from her own photos. Jet2 informed me that mobility scooters are not allowed on the premises however as soon as I mentioned this to Lakis he arranged for the delivery of one at a very good price and ensured it was charged for me. I visited as a solo traveller and felt welcomed and safe everywhere I went. This is one place I would definitely visit again as this was a truly relaxing week.

We enjoyed our stay for 8 days. The owner is friendly and also acts as the cook. It is located on a narrow street where the bus picking you up from the airport cannot reach. You are dropped off at the beginning of the street and then have to walk a short distance with your suitcase(s) to the hotel (not a disaster). It is close to the beach and the lively "boulevard," accessible via a narrow winding road that takes you past shops, houses, and hotels/apartments.

Great place to stay and relax, owner is really wholsome and has great attitude. Whenever there was any problem or something needed to be done, we just heard "No prooblem, don't worry about it" and it was done almost right away. I recommend to anyone willing to spend holidays in clean, calm and charmy place.
