Passioni
Visitors say
Fabolous cocktails, wine and homemade Italian dishes, this is a great alternative to all the Greek tavernas! The mussels, cannelloni, melanzane and lasagne are among my favorites. The place has personality and atmosphere.
Best food at Skala Eresos by far. Amazing quality and quick service at an atmospheric courtyard. Its not located by the waterfront but it is well worth a visit. We had delicious lasagna Bolognese and gnocchi.
About
Passioni is a bistro-style restaurant located in Skala Eresou, the relaxed seaside village on the southwestern coast of Lesvos known for its long pebble beach and laid-back atmosphere. Sitting close to the waterfront, it draws in travelers seeking a meal that goes beyond the ordinary taverna offering, with a menu likely to feature a thoughtful blend of Mediterranean flavors and locally sourced ingredients prepared with care.
The bistro format suggests a welcoming, intimate setting where the food takes center stage — expect dishes that balance Greek culinary tradition with a more contemporary sensibility, whether that means creative appetizers, well-crafted mains, or a carefully chosen wine list. The name itself, meaning "passion" in Italian and Spanish, hints at a kitchen that approaches cooking as a calling rather than a routine.
For visitors spending time in Skala Eresou — whether they have come for the beaches, the stunning sunsets over the Aegean, or simply to soak in one of Lesvos's most characterful villages — Passioni offers a reason to linger at the table and make an evening of it. It is the kind of place that turns a good day on the island into a memorable one.
Before you go
What to expect
Passioni sits steps from the sea in Skala Eresou, where the pace slows and evenings stretch long. The bistro feel — intimate tables, thoughtful plating — makes it a natural choice when you want something more composed than a beach taverna. Expect Mediterranean cooking with a personal touch and a wine list worth lingering over.
Best time to visit
Late May through October is the prime season; summer evenings are particularly pleasant as the heat softens and the Aegean light turns golden.
How to get there
Skala Eresou is roughly 90 minutes by car from Mytilene — follow the main road west across the island through Kalloni. Passioni is near the seafront and easy to find once you are in the village.

There were two empty tables, but they were reserved. At first the waitress said we could wait 10 minutes and if the parties didn’t show we could have the table. We waited 15 and when we asked again, we were told to be patient. We had a drink at the bar while waiting but after 30 mins (both tables still empty), we were still being ignored. We left and went for dinner elsewhere. Staff could be more friendly.
Owner Response
I'm sorry, but on the evening in question we had an event and the whole place was reserved. The table in question was free because they were late and I suggested you wait a bit in case they didn't arrive and so it was and we dated the table 5 minutes after you left to someone else. I'm sorry, again but during the festival on evenings with events we have to work on reservations as we have few tables.

A tired “Italian” restaurant. Limited options of Italian dishes, small and confused menu, over the logic prices. I had the feeling that they get bored of the restaurant business, but some reason they still running it. No fresh ideas, no easy and classic Italian dishes, overcooked pasta and generally very flat taste! Nowhere the sense of basil, some herbs, anything to boost the basic ingredients. 4,7⭐️ is a joke. 2,5-3,0 is more realistic. Sad, because of the nice spot it could be a hidden gem for Eressos.

There's nothing Italian about the restaurant other than the name. The pasta was over cooked and the sauce was mediocre at best. The salad was just a few ingredients placed in order.

Two stars for the great aperol spritz and the nice atmosphere. Service needs serious improvement as we were treated with a rather strict and non-welcome attitude. This is a holidays place, smile a bit, it won’t hurt! Regarding the food, we ordered gnocchi four cheese that was tasteless, gnocchi was soft and well cooked but the sauce was just a white cream that you couldn’t even tell it was there. The true nightmare came with the pesto pasta, that was just spaghetti with oil and thinly sliced basil. Don’t claim it to be pesto, let’s get serious. Hope they will improve.

Perhaps some of the best Authentic Italian Food I’ve had compared to Florence and Venice where many restaurants feed tourists poorly at “fancy” prices. The first night we enjoyed Caprese Salad, Mussels and Gnocchi, which is a must! Their house Rose wine at €6.5 Euros for 500 ml is excellent and better than bottled. The second visit we had the lasagna again (their best dish IMO) and started the meal with Burrata, Rocket and Cherry Tomatoes - divine! Fresh sheet had fried, butterflied and deboned sardines served atop a green salad and it was absolutely amazing. Stephania and her staff are pleasant and attentive and the courtyard ambiance was soothing. Everything on the menu was fantastic. Apart from Greek cuisine this was the best restaurant in Skala Eressos for quality, authenticity and value with most dishes coming in at under 10€. Must visit!

Just Delicious! We came her for dinner on multiple nights. The food is amazing, the lasagne is the best I've ever had. Beautiful courtyard with great atmosphere. Drinks are also great.
