Fantastic, fresh food, highly recommend. The fish platter was the highlight. Traditional meals and great size servings. Perfect for a dinner overlooking the beach.
Lovely place, fantastic staff -especially the Badgers kids clubs staff-excellent food, excellent facilities. Couldn't fault it.
About
Eressos Palace is a taverna set in Skala Eresou, the charming coastal village on the southwestern shore of Lesvos that stretches along one of the island's finest sandy beaches. The village itself carries a storied legacy as the birthplace of the ancient lyric poet Sappho, and its unhurried, welcoming spirit draws travelers seeking a more relaxed corner of the Aegean. Against this backdrop, a meal at Eressos Palace becomes part of the broader pleasure of lingering in a place where time moves gently.
As a taverna, Eressos Palace offers the kind of honest, generous Greek cooking that rewards those who venture beyond the busier resort towns. Expect the hallmarks of Lesbian cuisine — fresh seafood sourced from local waters, mezedes to share, grilled meats, and seasonal vegetables dressed in the island's celebrated olive oil. The setting in Skala Eresou means the atmosphere is convivial and unhurried, with the beach and the long Aegean horizon never far from view.
Whether you stop in for a midday meal after a swim or settle in for an evening with carafe wine and the sounds of a village winding down, Eressos Palace offers a taste of authentic island hospitality. It is the kind of place that makes Skala Eresou feel like a discovery worth keeping to yourself.
Before you go
What to expect
Tables fill with shared plates of mezedes and grilled fish as the afternoon stretches toward evening; the sandy beach is just steps away and most guests arrive salt-dried from a swim. The kitchen draws on the local larder — olive oil from island groves, seafood from nearby fishing boats — and the pace of the meal matches the unhurried rhythm of Skala Eresou itself.
Best time to visit
Late May through September is ideal; July and August bring the most visitors to both the village and the beach.
How to get there
From Mytilene, head west across the island toward Eressos — the drive winds through hill villages and takes roughly an hour and a half.

The best we have eten in Eresos by far! The ones too close to the water some are nowhere to the quality plus much more pricy (don't make the mistake we did and check their menu price before you sit). In Eresos palace they have heart warming grandma cooking that both me as a Greek and my partner as a foreigner enjoyed a lot! We will come back next year surely

It was one of my favorite restaurants, after my favorite waiter was gone, i still liked the simple but good food, but the service wasn't very good anymore.
