Wonderful place, by the sea! All the dishes we chose were very tasty and fresh! Highlight of appetizers: fried zucchini (the best we have ever eaten). We will definitely come back! Try the tuna!

Kalloni Körfezi'nin güney kıyısındaki sakin bir balıkçı yerleşimi olan Skala Polichnitou'da, suyun hemen kenarına kurulmuş Ψαροταβέρνα Το Λιμάνι — Liman Balık Meyhanesi — bir Yunan deniz ürünleri deneyiminin tüm özünü bünyesinde taşıyan türden bir mekândır. Kalloni Körfezi, sardalyalarıyla ve zengin yerel avıyla nam salmış, Ege'nin en verimli balıkçılık alanlarından biridir; bu meyhane de doğrudan o bolluğun kaynağından beslenmektedir. Küçük limanın balıkçıları her gün taze avlarını getirmekte, bu da menünün bir depodan değil, denizin o günkü sunumundan şekillendiği anlamına gelmektedir.
Burada yemek yemek, suya bakarak bir sandalyeye oturarak terası büyük ihtimalle yerel ailelerle ya da günü bitirmekte olan bir balıkçıyla paylaşmak demektir. Zeytinyağı ve limonla tatlandırılmış ızgara balık, güneşte kurutulup sonra ızgaraya atılmış taze ahtapot, körfezden gelen midyeler ve buz gibi rakı ya da yerel şarapla servis edilen kızarmış gümüşbalığı... Menüyü sade ve dürüst bir mutfak anlayışı belirler. Atmosfer ağırkanlı ve gerçek anlamıyla yereldir; daha kalabalık tatil beldelerinin cilalanmış turistik meyhanelerinden çok uzak. Skala Polichnitou, yakınındaki Polichnitos şifalı kaplıcalarını ziyarete gelenlerin uğrak noktasıdır; pek çok ziyaretçi bu mütevazı limanı, kaplıca öncesinde ya da sonrasında uzun ve keyifli bir öğle yemeği için biçilmiş kaftan olarak keşfeder.
Kalabalıklardan uzakta, Midilli'nin otantik bir kıyı yaşamı tadı arayanlar için To Limani giderek daha nadir bulunan bir şey sunar: malzemelerin sadeliğinin ve mekânın samimiyetinin her şeyi kendiliğinden hallettigi bir sofra deneyimi. Körfezin olağanüstü deniz ürünleri, köyün ağırkanlı temposu ve meyhanenin tam liman başında konumlanması, ana yoldan ayrılıp suya doğru inmeyi haklı kılan zorlayıcı bir neden oluşturmaktadır.

Teras, küçük balıkçı limanının hemen kenarında yer alır; Kalloni Körfezi'nden esen tuzlu esinti eşliğinde, güneşte kurutulan ahtapot ve ızgarada pişen balığın kokusu ortalığı kaplar. Sabahki avdan gelen sardalya ve taze balık, körfez midyesi ve küçük beyaz balıkların kızartması sade ama özgün bir şekilde hazırlanarak masaya gelir. Yerel balıkçılar ve köy aileleri masaların büyük bölümünü doldurur; bu da öğle yemeğini gerçek bir Ege ritüeline dönüştürür.

Mayıs sonundan Eylül'e kadar; Haziran ve Eylül, kalabalık olmadan güzel hava sunar.
Nasıl gidilir
Midilli'den güneybatıya Kaloni yönünde ilerleyin, ardından kıyıya inen yoldan Skala Polichnitou'ya ulaşın; yaklaşık 45-55 dakikalık bir sürüş beklenmektedir.

There is no menu, so you don't know the prices...! Your cold comes at the end, when you pay 14€ for a portion of fried squid and 9€ for a carafe of ouzo!! Quite by chance, the POS doesn't work, so you have to pay with cash and of course no receipt is issued!! It's just a piece of paper from a notebook, it says what you got and how much you paid... Okay, mockery as much as it can go... Let it be known, I was on vacation and didn't want to spoil my mood, otherwise this whole thing wouldn't have happened like this!! Of course I won't go again...! And I see from the comments, that the same thing has happened to others!! The fact that the griller is walking around the kitchen without a shirt and that hair and sweat can be found on your plate, is a concern for...!! I'm about to run away next year with a shopping mall and a health insurance policy...!! Let's see...

The geese that roam the tables and the resident cats create a great atmosphere. The food is average. The sardines were supposed to be grilled, but I got them swimming in fat. The Greek salad was the same as everywhere. My son ordered the chicken fillet – good, nothing special. The service was nice, but you have to ask for the bill.
