Pretty good, really cheap on a lot of things, if you're lucky you might get deals that you won't find even in the big supermarkets.
Very good prices on selected products. It doesn't have a large variety but what it does have is definitely cheaper than the other supermarkets in the area. Friendly staff.
About
Tucked within the local market of the Arisvi area in northwestern Lesvos, Afoi Manoli is one of those unpretentious family-run establishments that quietly anchors village commercial life. The name, meaning "Manoli Brothers" in Greek, reflects the deeply rooted tradition of family enterprise that has long defined trade in Aegean island communities, where businesses pass down through generations and personal relationships between shopkeeper and customer are considered as important as the goods exchanged.
Visitors stopping here can expect the kind of authentic market experience that supermarkets have long since replaced in most of the world. Whether sourcing local produce, pantry staples, or the everyday provisions that sustain island life, the shop offers a window into the rhythms of rural Lesvos far removed from the tourist trail. The surrounding area of Arisvi sits in a quieter corner of the island, where the pace slows and interactions with locals feel genuinely warm rather than transactional.
For travelers exploring the less-visited villages of northern Lesvos, a stop at a place like Afoi Manoli offers something beyond mere practicality. It is an opportunity to engage with the texture of everyday island life, perhaps pick up a local product to bring home, and exchange a few words with people whose families have worked this land and served this community for decades. These small encounters, brief as they often are, frequently become the moments that linger longest in a traveler's memory.
Before you go
What to expect
Inside Afoi Manoli, shelves are stocked with local produce, pantry staples, and the everyday goods that keep a village running — the sort of shop where the owner knows most customers by name. The Manoli family has long been part of the fabric of Arisvi, so stopping in feels less like shopping and more like a brief glimpse into the daily rhythms of rural Lesvos.
Best time to visit
The shop serves the community year-round; a weekday morning visit finds the village at its quietest and most authentic.
How to get there
From Mytilene, head northwest toward Kalloni and then continue into the Arisvi area; the drive takes roughly 40 to 50 minutes on winding island roads.

Very good prices compared to other big supermarkets, until you forget something at the checkout after you've paid for it, they'll tell you they don't have anything if you remember to get it later. It happened to me that I forgot something much smaller than another gentleman who had forgotten his supermarket bag who had paid for all the products in the bag (we're just human, he just happened to forget his bag) but you can't help but see an entire bag as an employee and be told they don't have anything. I personally sent my own person to pick up what I forgot along with a receipt.

They don't have such a large selection as the AB across the street but they have the best prices for what they do have. If you like good deals I suggest starting a shopping expedition here. Also, this place was full of locals every time we went and they probably know the best place in town.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Inside, it's a bit gloomy and cluttered. But the prices are very reasonable. I think it's the supermarket with the best price/quality ratio on the island. From what I can see, it's not a chain supermarket and only has one branch. It's smarter to shop here than at the well-known supermarkets right across the street.
