Notice that the google pin is a bit off. Good shop for your souvenir-needs and other fun things that you won't find in most other shops. Not much of a shopper myself but wife was delighted.

About

Nestled in the picturesque village of Molyvos, one of the most storied and visually striking destinations on Lesvos, Choices 1912 is a gift shop whose very name pays quiet homage to a pivotal moment in the island's history — 1912 being the year Lesvos was united with the Greek state after centuries of Ottoman rule. The shop occupies a setting of considerable charm, surrounded by Molyvos's characteristic cobblestone lanes, Ottoman-era stone houses, and the imposing medieval castle that crowns the hill above the harbor.

Visitors to Choices 1912 can browse a curated selection of gifts and keepsakes that capture the spirit of Lesvos and the Aegean world — from locally inspired crafts and decorative items to souvenirs that make for meaningful mementos of time spent on this remarkable island. Shops of this character in Molyvos tend to reflect the village's artistic sensibility and its long tradition of welcoming travelers, offering pieces that go beyond the generic tourist fare and lean into the island's distinctive cultural identity.

Molyvos itself rewards unhurried exploration, and a stop at Choices 1912 fits naturally into a morning or afternoon spent wandering the village's lanes, taking in views of the turquoise harbor, and discovering the layered history that makes this corner of Lesvos so compelling. Whether you are looking for a gift to bring home or simply a reminder of the beauty of the northern Aegean, this shop is a worthwhile pause on any visit to Molyvos.

Before you go

What to expect

The name itself opens a conversation — 1912 marks the year Lesvos rejoined Greece after Ottoman rule, and the shop wears that history lightly among its curated shelves. Expect locally made crafts and Aegean-themed keepsakes chosen with a discerning eye, housed in the kind of old stone setting that makes browsing feel unhurried. It fits naturally into a morning spent wandering Molyvos's cobbled lanes with the castle looming above.

Best time to visit

May through October when Molyvos is fully alive; summer evenings after the heat fades are the most pleasant time to browse.

How to get there

Drive north from Mytilene along the coastal road — the journey to Molyvos takes roughly an hour. Park at the village entrance and continue on foot through the lanes.
