About
Nestled in the tranquil coastal village of Agios Isidoros on the southern shores of Lesvos, the Coral Hotel offers a welcoming base for travellers seeking a quieter, more authentic corner of the island. Agios Isidoros is a modest, unhurried fishing settlement set along a sheltered bay, far removed from the bustle of Mytilene or the busier resort strips, and the Coral Hotel reflects that spirit of low-key hospitality that defines this stretch of coast.
Guests staying at the Coral benefit from easy access to the village's calm, pebbly beach and the warm, clear waters of the Aegean. The surrounding area rewards those who like to explore at their own pace — the Gulf of Kalloni is a short drive away, offering world-renowned birdwatching, traditional salt flats, and excellent local seafood tavernas. The olive groves and gentle hills of southern Lesvos provide a scenic backdrop, and day trips to the island's historic monasteries and thermal springs are well within reach.
For visitors who want to experience Lesvos without the crowds, the Coral Hotel serves as a practical and comfortable home for the duration of their stay. Its position in Agios Isidoros means you fall asleep to the sound of the sea and wake up to a village still living at a genuinely Greek pace — a rare and valued thing in an increasingly busy Mediterranean.
Before you go
What to expect
The Coral sits right on a sheltered pebbly cove in Agios Isidoros, a genuine fishing village where the pace of life hasn't been reimagined for tourism. You swim straight off the beach into clear Aegean water, spend evenings at waterfront tavernas where the catch is local, and fall into the rhythm of a community that still lives at a Greek pace. It's understated comfort — the sea is the main event.
Best time to visit
Late May through October is ideal for swimming; July and August are hot but Agios Isidoros stays far quieter than the busier resort strips elsewhere on the island.
How to get there
From Mytilene, head south along the coast — the drive takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes through the villages of southern Lesvos. Agios Isidoros sits on a sheltered bay and the hotel is right at the waterfront.

Amazing place, amazing beach and good restaurants close by. But what really sets this place apart is the owner Persia, she will come running and greet you even before you step out of the taxi, and make sure you have everything you need and more during your stay. She went the extra mile with everything, and can fix anything you need. Renovated in 2025 and the standard is very high! Will come back!

Great service, great location, great people and both Persa and her parents are always present and so welcoming ☺️ She has suggestions for all kind of things for you to experience the best of the island. Persa assists with all kinds of things that provides the guests with far better prices that is possible to find, just ask her. Such services include renting bike/car, trips around the islag with boats etc, massage, hairdresser, taxi orders. Thanks for a great stay at Plomari.

Wonderful Persa who takes care of all her "children". Cute and talented Maria who cleans and dad who stands up and gives rides when needed. Mom wasn't there now, but she sometimes bakes something good that you get to taste. Lovely people and a lovely atmosphere. I don't want to go anywhere else.
