Went to buy 15 cooling boxes with ice packets, everyone was trying to help always with a smile. Recommended
About
JUMBO is a beloved Greek retail institution, and the branch serving the Mytilene area near Larisos brings this iconic shopping experience to Lesvos. Part of one of Greece's most recognizable discount retail chains, JUMBO is a sprawling emporium packed with toys, stationery, household goods, seasonal decorations, baby products, and a vast assortment of everyday items at wallet-friendly prices. For families traveling with children, it is practically a mandatory stop — the toy selection alone can occupy young visitors for a considerable stretch of time.
Beyond its appeal to families, JUMBO is a practical resource for anyone settling in for an extended stay on the island. Whether you need beach gear, kitchenware, party supplies, or last-minute gifts to bring home, the store's enormous floor space and broad inventory make it a one-stop solution. Greek locals and tourists alike have come to rely on JUMBO for the kind of cheerful, affordable shopping that keeps a holiday running smoothly.
Visitors should be aware that JUMBO stores tend to be lively, busy environments — particularly during the summer season when the island fills with tourists — but that energy is part of the experience. The store is easily accessible by car along the road connecting the island's main settlements, making it a convenient detour when stocking up for a beach day or self-catering accommodation. It may not be a cultural landmark, but for practical island living, few stops prove as useful.
Before you go
What to expect
A vast, cheerfully chaotic discount emporium stocked floor-to-ceiling with toys, beach supplies, kitchenware, seasonal decorations, and baby products at low prices. Families with children tend to linger longest in the toy aisles, but anyone on an extended island stay will find it equally practical for stocking up a rental or hunting down affordable gifts. Expect noise and energy, especially on summer weekends.
Best time to visit
Open year-round; a weekday morning visit avoids the summer crowds that build through July and August.
How to get there
About 10-15 minutes by car from Mytilene heading northwest toward Larisos; easy to fold into any drive around the eastern part of the island.

Negative experience. Not for me. Bud quality, catchy prices for nothing. Before you grab anything from the candies/ snacks section, at the end check the expiration date. I had bud experience.

You need cheap stuff of one use then go there. Otherwise don’t. I find it very exhausting to go there especially that you need to go through the whole shop to find one item that you need let alone listening to that annoying music . However everything is super cheap but quality wise not recommended at all

I'm from the state of Colorado in America. This place is very much like a Walmart laid out like an Ikea, where you have to walk "one way" through all the items. They had a huge variety of almost anything you could need, especially toys... warning to those with kids as you HAVE to walk through multiple aisles of toys before anything else. The prices were fair and we were able to buy everything we needed for our stay in Lesvos in one trip, although the quality of the items does not seem very high. Likely, most of it is made in China for cheap.
