Visitors say
We visited the Sigri area for 2 days. The hotel is very good and Mr. Pavlos was very helpful and kind. It is the second time we go to this particular hotel.
The best hosts, and a beautiful and clean hotel in nature. Definitely recommended. Plenty of parking and sounds of nature. You wake up to the singing of the birds.
About
Orama Hotel sits near the tranquil village of Sigri on the wild western coast of Lesvos, one of the island's most rewarding and least-visited corners. Sigri is a small fishing settlement sheltered by a natural bay, known for its Genoese castle, the nearby Petrified Forest of Lesvos — a UNESCO Global Geopark — and the unhurried pace that has largely kept mass tourism at bay. The name "Orama," meaning view or vision in Greek, hints at the scenic setting guests can expect in this part of the island, where the Aegean stretches uninterrupted toward the horizon.
The hotel offers comfortable accommodation for travelers looking to use western Lesvos as a base for exploration. Guests are well placed to visit the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest, walk the rugged coastal paths, or simply spend languid days on the quiet beaches that dot this stretch of coastline. The area around Sigri is also a draw for birdwatchers during migration season, as the western tip of Lesvos lies along major flyways connecting Europe and Africa.
For visitors who want to experience Lesvos beyond the well-trodden routes of Molyvos and Mytilene, Orama Hotel provides a comfortable foothold in a genuinely authentic part of the island. Evenings in Sigri are best spent at the waterfront tavernas watching fishing boats return to the harbor — a scene that has changed little over generations and remains one of the quiet pleasures of the Greek island experience.
Before you go
What to expect
Mornings begin with the sound of fishing boats leaving the small harbour, and days unfold between the fossil-scattered coastal paths and the surreal landscape of the nearby Petrified Forest. The hotel puts you within easy reach of quiet coves, the Natural History Museum, and the village waterfront, where the pace feels genuinely unhurried. Evenings here have a low-key pleasure that organised resorts rarely manage.
Best time to visit
Late April through June is ideal for birdwatchers catching the spring migration; July and August bring reliable beach weather, though the drive from Mytilene feels long in the midday heat.
How to get there
Sigri is roughly 90 minutes to two hours from Mytilene by car, heading west through the island's interior before the road drops to the coast — stock up on supplies before the final stretch, as the village is small and remote.

We chose Sigri by chance because there were no other options for a one-night stay, but we were very pleased. It was spotlessly clean, and the owners were lovely people. The view was beautiful, and the sunset from the balcony was amazing. It was also great that breakfast was included.

If you are planning to have a calm, comfortable and quiet peaceful holiday on Lesvos, this is the place to go. Apart from the hotel, which is a gem with clean rooms (they clean them every day!), and a great pool, it is Pavlos, the owner, that makes this stay a very valuable and great experience. Right from the moment he greets you, you know that you are in safe hands. He treats you like family and you feel like home. Not to be missed if you are planning to stay in Sigri. Teşekkürler komşu :)

Small, quiet, in a beautiful location with a sea view, clean, but could use some improvements, such as having someone at the reception to serve you when needed, having more toilet paper (instead of half) and not having a cracked sink

The owner opened the hotel just for us! We came during the off season and were the only people in the hotel. He personally cooked breakfast for us and gave us all the flexibility we wanted on when to have breakfast and when to check in and check out. The room was good, the view was amazing! The gardens are quite nice too.

A very quiet and clean hotel. It is not the Ritz-Carlton, but does nicely as a place to stay in Sigri. The breakfast is top quality and the rooms are adequate and clean with views of the sea. A good mid-level choice located on the outskirts of town.
