About
Nestled in the gentle countryside near the quiet village of Pligoni in eastern Lesvos, Lasia Hotel offers a welcoming retreat for travellers seeking an authentic base from which to explore the island's quieter corners. The surrounding landscape is characteristically Lesbian — silvery olive groves stretching across rolling hills, the air carrying the scent of wild herbs, and a pace of life that feels refreshingly unhurried. Staying here means waking up to the rhythms of rural Greece rather than the bustle of a resort strip, making it a natural choice for visitors who prefer genuine island character over packaged tourism.
Guests at Lasia Hotel can use it as a comfortable launching point for exploring the eastern reaches of Lesvos, which remain relatively undiscovered compared to the more visited western and southern coasts. The nearby villages offer glimpses into traditional stone architecture and local tavernas serving home-cooked mezedes, while the broader region provides easy access to the island's petrified forest UNESCO Global Geopark, the elegant capital Mytilene, and a string of quiet coves along the eastern coastline. Whether you are a birdwatcher drawn to Lesvos's exceptional migratory routes, a hiker keen to follow old footpaths through olive country, or simply a traveller in search of slow afternoons with good local wine, Lasia Hotel provides a comfortable and well-situated home for the duration of your stay on this endlessly rewarding island.
Before you go
What to expect
The hotel sits among olive groves on the edge of Pligoni, a village small enough that mornings are quiet except for the sounds of the countryside. It's a comfortable base for spreading out a map of eastern Lesvos and spending your days at your own pace — quiet coves, old footpaths, and nearby traditional tavernas are all within easy reach.
Best time to visit
Late spring and autumn are the sweet spot — mild temperatures, far fewer visitors, and ideal conditions for birdwatching and hiking through the olive country.
How to get there
Lasia Hotel is about 5–6 km from Mytilene, a short drive east from the island's capital along the coastal road toward Pligoni.

The room wasn't clean, rude people, the buffet was cold, we payed 60 dollars for a tiny room and especially it's very far from the center of Mytilene! We was waiting for the bus for atleast 25 minutes and it never came, we was on the taxis all day and to get from the center to the hotel and the opposite it was 6 to 8 euros. The bathroom was disgusting, the window couldn't even open, the shower head was broken. Never going back to it!!

It's really close to the airport and cheap. I needed a place for the night and this worked. The lobby is fine. Two old men were out front playing checkers until 11:00 pm. The room was dated and not all that clean. There were stains on the rug. Stuff was falling off the walls. The vent in the bathroom was nasty. The toilet never stopped running. The air didn't seem to work. But the people were nice and accommodating. Don't expect luxury. Expect needs to be met.
