Sea Melody Molyvos
Visitors say
We had to come to Molyvos spontenously and we luckily discovered Evangelina’s hotel. She was super helpful to us and our stay was wonderful. We will come here again for sure
The best hostess, always with a smile. The rooms are spotlessly clean in the best location with unobstructed views.
About
Sea Melody Molyvos offers accommodation in one of the most storied and visually striking settings on Lesvos. Molyvos, also known as Mithymna, is a medieval village whose tiers of stone houses tumble down toward the Aegean beneath a Byzantine-era castle, and staying here means waking up to views that have drawn painters, poets, and travelers for generations. The name Sea Melody speaks to the sensory experience that defines this corner of northern Lesvos — the sound of waves, the scent of salt air, and light that shifts from deep blue at dawn to gold at dusk.
Guests can expect the kind of intimate, character-filled hospitality that rooms and small hotels in Molyvos are known for, with easy access to the village's cobblestone alleys, traditional tavernas, and the lively harbor. The surrounding area rewards exploration: the castle offers panoramic views across the straits toward Turkey, the pebble beaches nearby are calm and inviting, and the village itself is one of the few on Lesvos that retains its traditional Ottoman-era architecture largely intact. Sea Melody Molyvos makes a natural base for visitors who want to experience the authentic rhythm of this remarkable island.
Before you go
What to expect
Staying at Sea Melody puts you inside the fabric of one of Lesvos's most atmospheric villages — stone lanes outside your door, the Byzantine castle looming above, and the harbor just a short walk below. Mornings here carry the sound of water and the smell of the sea; evenings draw you to the waterfront tavernas as the light turns amber over the Aegean.
Best time to visit
Late May through September is ideal; July and August bring the most visitors, so early June or September offer a quieter stay with equally warm weather.
How to get there
Molyvos lies roughly 60 km north of Mytilene by road — count on about an hour's drive through olive-covered hills. A rental car gives you the most flexibility for exploring the surrounding villages and coastline.

A small, cozy hotel with a beautiful view of the harbor and part of Molyvos 😍, and super sweet and caring owners. Lizza is always thinking of her guests' well-being and she's willing to do her utmost! 🫶🏽 We even booked a boat trip with the owner, Panagioti, on his own boat, which was fantastic. We wanted for nothing. We will definitely be back!! 💡 Tip: invest in mattress toppers!

It is small, simple, very decent, clean, very affordable with a wonderful view of the harbor of Molyvos... The rooms have a refrigerator, kettle, dishes, glasses, TV, hair dryer and of course a bathroom. We loved the owner Evangelia Teke. .... The view from our balcony....
