About

Melina Apartment offers visitors a comfortable home base in the peaceful coastal settlement of Paralia Thermis, a village that has long drawn travelers seeking the restorative warmth of the area's famous thermal springs. Situated on the northeastern shore of Lesvos near Mytilene, this corner of the island combines the tranquility of a traditional seaside community with easy access to the wider island's olive groves, Byzantine churches, and petrified forest.

Guests staying at Melina Apartment can expect the kind of relaxed, self-contained accommodation that suits those who prefer to set their own pace — ideal for couples or small families who want a local base rather than a hotel experience. The surrounding area rewards slow exploration: the thermal baths of Thermi have attracted visitors for centuries, and the nearby coast offers swimming in calm, clear Aegean waters just minutes from the door.

For travelers looking to experience Lesvos beyond its busier tourist circuits, Paralia Thermis provides an authentic rhythm of island life, with local tavernas serving fresh seafood and the capital Mytilene reachable in a short drive. Melina Apartment places you squarely in this unhurried corner of the island, making it a sensible and welcoming choice for those who want comfort, convenience, and a genuine sense of place.

Before you go

What to expect

Staying at Melina Apartment puts you inside the quiet rhythm of a genuine Aegean village, where mornings smell of salt air and evenings bring the soft clatter of a nearby taverna. The thermal spring heritage of Thermi gives the whole neighbourhood a slightly timeless, spa-village feel — unhurried in a way that most coastal spots on the island no longer are.

Best time to visit

May through October is ideal; the thermal baths are enjoyable year-round, but July and August bring the best sea temperatures alongside a modest summer buzz.

How to get there

From Mytilene, follow the coastal road north toward Thermi — the drive takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Paralia Thermis sits just past the main Thermi village, right at the water's edge.

With a clear "VALUE FOR MONEY" rating!!!! It has nothing to envy, rooms that ask for double or even multiple times the money and offer fewer amenities!! As for the owners, either the son or his parents are truly exceptional hosts, willing to serve you in every way to make your stay on the island more comfortable and enjoyable. I recommend staying there, unreservedly!!!

Very pleased with our stay, clean room, with everything we needed to have all the comforts. Very good service from Mr. Panagiotis who was willing to do whatever we needed. In a very good location for exploring, also to the beaches, and quite close to Mytilene.

It's like a small house. The kitchen has everything you need. Everything is thought out down to the last detail. It's cleaned daily and spotless. I don't know if this is the case throughout Lesvos or just in this area, but there are a lot of mosquitoes. I'm calling on the Lesvos municipality to take action 😊 There isn't a nice beach nearby for swimming. There are markets and tavernas available. Melina is a nice place to stay for families.

You can find Melina Apartments in Paralia Thermis, a very convenient location, as it is 11km from Mytilini city or 15 minutes away. The area is relatively calm, with less tourists, but lacking nothing in commodities. There are two supermarkets, a kiosk, several fish tavernas, pizza and a gyros and souvlaki place. The apartments on the first floor (ground floor if you enter from the street entrance) all have large balconies, furnished with table and chairs. The main room is large, air-conditioned, containing either a double bed and a single one or 3-4 single beds. Additiomally, there are two bed stands, large bench to use for the suitcases and a toiletry stand with mirror. There is a smaller room that also serves as corridor, where there are the eating table and two chairs. Kitchen is small, but contains a small fridge, an oven and two electric hotplates for cooking. There are spacious drawers containing the essentials for cooking and eating, like dishes, pots and cutlery. A toaster and a coffee machine are available The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin, there is also a hairdryer. Towels are provided and changed every 3 days along with the bedsheets. Toiletries like shampoo and shower gel available. The apartments have an ironing board, electric iron and extra window mesh screens to keep mosquitoes out All in all its a convenient place, affordable, clean and quiet. The only reason that I am not granding it five stars is that it isn't right on the sea shore. Nevertheless, the Anemokambi organized beach is 3km away, so if you have a car you ll be fine. Or alternatively, you can walk 50 meters and swim on a nearby beach. No umbrellas or showers there unfortunately. The owner, Panos, is very polite and helpful and eager to do a good job in providing hospitality. Recommended!

A hidden paradise! A solo trip to Lesbos—that was the dream! Affordable, somewhat central (20 minutes from the airport), near the sea, with WiFi, and preferably not too busy, but also not too quiet. Quite ambitious ;) But we found it!! This place, the peace and quiet, the sweet, super hospitable owners, a private kitchenette (with kettle!), a private bathroom with toilet. WiFi, a sea view—where the most beautiful sunrise you could wish for appears every morning. Yes, this really is a wonderful place to be! The first euros are already in the old sock, ready to go back!! Thank you, dear Panos & team, for all your hospitality, all the tips, the lovely conversations, and your tireless efforts to provide guests with every comfort! I’ll be back!! :) :)
