About
Tucked in the charming coastal village of Petra on the northwest shore of Lesvos, petrADi takes its name and spirit directly from the place it calls home. Petra itself is one of the most distinctive villages on the island, dominated by the dramatic monolithic rock crowned by the Church of the Sweet-Kissing Virgin, whose 114 steps lead pilgrims and curious visitors alike to sweeping views over the Aegean. Against this backdrop of stone, sea, and tradition, a local business like petrADi offers travelers a welcoming foothold in the village's unhurried rhythm.
The character of petrADi reflects the warmth and creativity found in the small independent establishments that give Lesvian villages their soul. Whether you stop in for a locally inspired meal, a coffee overlooking the village square, or to browse something crafted or sourced from the island itself, the experience carries the authenticity that draws visitors to places like Petra in the first place — away from the tourist circuits, closer to how islanders actually live.
For anyone exploring the northwest of Lesvos, Petra makes an ideal base, and petrADi is the kind of place worth lingering in. The surrounding area offers easy access to the long sandy beach that curves along the waterfront, the thermal baths at Eftalou just a short drive away, and the ornate 18th-century Vareltzidaina mansion that speaks to the village's prosperous past. petrADi sits at the heart of all of this — a place where a visit to Petra becomes more than sightseeing and turns into something genuinely felt.
Before you go
What to expect
Sitting in the shadow of Petra's iconic rock, petrADi has the easy pace of a place that knows its village well. You might settle in for a coffee after climbing the 114 steps to the church above, or linger over a meal while the light shifts across the waterfront. It's the kind of stop that turns an afternoon's sightseeing into a proper stay.
Best time to visit
Late May through September suits a visit best — the village quiets considerably outside July and August, when the beach draws bigger crowds.
How to get there
Petra is roughly an hour's drive from Mytilene along the north coast road. The village is well-signed and petrADi is within easy walking distance of the central square and the famous rock.

We stayed in August 2025. The location is a 10-minute walk from the beaches. There's no problem during the day, but at night, the road is double-lane with cars and pedestrians walking on the same path without sidewalks, so be careful. The private balcony was lovely; we bought pastries from the bakery in the center and had breakfast in the garden with the sound of birds. Having Netflix on TV was a great feature. The air conditioning worked very well. There's a coffee machine, refrigerator, and a clothesline on the balcony to dry your towels after swimming. Toothpaste and everything else was provided. It was a very pleasant stay.

PetADI is, as far as I know, a detached complex with three rooms. It has its own garden and parking spaces. The rooms are clean and newly renovated, and the cleaning staff is quite good. You can easily walk to the town center. Petra is a town with a beautiful coastline. It's very lively in the summer, with restaurants, cafes, and bars all open. However, it's much quieter in the winter—almost all the restaurants are closed, with only one open. So, if you're planning to visit in winter, I recommend knowing this. There's only one small kiosk near the complex, so if you're coming in winter, I recommend doing your shopping beforehand.

We stayed at the accommodation in Petra for 5 days and our experience was very good overall. The location is ideal, as it is next to the center of the village, which made our transportation very easy. The room was renovated, with a new bathroom and shower, while the private parking was a real advantage. The place is quiet, ideal for relaxation, and the hosts are very friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. They even welcomed us with a very nice gesture, offering us local products as a gift. The only point that could be improved is the window frames, as they are old and may need a renovation. Overall, however, the accommodation is a very good choice for staying in Petra, with comfort, hospitality and an excellent location. Finally, in our 5-day stay, on the 3rd day they cleaned it and changed the sheets and towels

I stayed at Petradi Apartments in August 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The place is quiet, peaceful, and cool, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. The air conditioning and fridge worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. They also provide free parking for cars, and the Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and comfortable stay in Lesvos.

It's a mini boutique hotel, or rather, a home. It's a charming 5-room detached house converted into a hotel. Each room has its own charming balcony. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights between September 13-15, 2024, and in my opinion, it was the best value for money hotel we've ever stayed at. We booked the hotel through Agoda for around 30-35 euros (1300 TL) a night. The cleanliness and amenities were excellent for the price. After booking, we contacted them via email and WP to discuss photos of the room and our requests. Thankfully, they were always helpful. Pros -The air conditioning is new and works well. -The TV is new and the internet connection is good. -The rooms are spacious enough. -The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. -There's private parking for five cars in the garden. -There's a hanger on the balcony of each room for your wet belongings. -If I remember correctly, Helen lives in the detached house right next to the hotel. Even though she doesn't speak much English, she takes care of the rooms herself and is always helpful if you need anything. We thank her for that. -The location is very close to the center of Petra. It's only a 6-7-minute walk, but driving to the sea is still more convenient. As I said, overall, I think this is one of the best hotels you can find in terms of price/performance. If you're staying in the Petra area and want to be close to Molyvos, you might want to choose it. I wish everyone a pleasant holiday.

We stayed for 2 nights between September 15-17. The room has everything you might need, including a refrigerator. We've been wandering around Lesvos for a while and hadn't come across a decent refrigerator. There's a comfortable and sufficiently orthopedic bed, a large screen TV with Netflix, and a functional bathroom. It's located in a garden, which is very convenient for parking.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was an incredible vacation. First of all, endless thanks to the owner; she made us feel like we were visiting a family member. The room was spotless, everything smelled wonderful. The terrace and the coffee were excellent. The owner gave us her own iron and some local cookies. She also gave us a very sweet honey gift for our honeymoon. It was truly a vacation I loved very much. Thank you so much, PetrADI.

A fantastic find near Petra! The rooms are newly furnished, spacious and spotless. The location is wonderfully quiet and just a short walk from Petra. The mattress was so comfortable that we had the best sleep we've had in a long time! The highlight of our stay was the host, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. We will definitely come back for another stay!
