About

Molyvos Boutique House is a holiday apartment rental nestled in the heart of Molyvos, one of Lesvos's most celebrated and picturesque villages. Perched on the northern coast of the island, Molyvos is defined by its cascade of traditional stone houses climbing toward a magnificent medieval Genoese castle, and staying in this boutique property places guests directly within that storied atmosphere. The accommodation offers self-catering apartments designed with the character and intimacy that larger hotels cannot match, giving travelers the freedom to live like a local in one of Greece's most beautiful coastal settlements.

Guests at Molyvos Boutique House can step outside to find cobblestone lanes lined with bougainvillea, artisan workshops, and tavernas serving fresh Aegean seafood. The village harbor is within easy reach, where fishing boats bob alongside waterfront restaurants, and the volcanic beaches of the surrounding coastline are ideal for swimming and relaxation. The nearby castle offers panoramic views across the Aegean toward the Turkish coast, and the village itself is one of the few in Greece to have retained its traditional Ottoman-era architectural character almost entirely intact.

For visitors seeking an authentic Lesvos experience rather than a resort stay, this kind of boutique apartment rental strikes the ideal balance between comfort and local immersion. Whether you are exploring the island's olive groves and hot springs, visiting Eftalou beach just up the coast, or simply lingering over coffee in the village square, Molyvos Boutique House provides a memorable and well-situated base from which to discover the northern Aegean at its finest.

Before you go

What to expect

Staying in a self-catering apartment in Molyvos means waking up inside the village rather than on its edges — cobblestone lanes outside the door, the Genoese castle visible above the rooftops, and harbor tavernas a short walk away where fishing boats tie up alongside the terrace tables. You set your own pace: morning coffee at the village square, afternoon swims at the volcanic coastline, evenings lingering over fresh seafood with the Aegean breeze coming in.

Best time to visit

May through October is the swim season; June and September offer warm water and a quieter village than the July–August peak.

How to get there

Molyvos is roughly an hour's drive north of Mytilene along the island's main road, winding through olive groves before the village's distinctive castle silhouette comes into view above the sea.

Fantastic apartment with stunning, panoramic views. A large balcony where you can sit in the shade until 11:30 am and enjoy the beautiful view. It's a large, clean, and comfortably furnished apartment. Toula is a wonderful host and lives a few doors down. The bakery and a small supermarket are just around the corner. The center of the charming town of Molyvos is charming and just 100 meters away.
